WHO IS A TRUE WORSHIPPER?

Dearly Beloved,

The  Webster Dictionary defines  the word WORSHIP to mean’ to show adoration for something or someone. To show love and respect for GOD by praying, attending services, carry out everything God likes.  Our Lord and savior told the woman at the well in JN 4:24 says  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.’ Also , 2 Chron 16:9 says” For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore, from now on you shall have wars”. God is looking out, searching for true worshippers. Not just one who will dance on Sundays then go out and do something He hates, something that he calls SIN. A true worshipper lives to please the one he/ she worships. Worship is a life style. It should reflect in every decision that we have to take.  Under the old and inferior covenant, when compared to the New ( HEB  8:13 ) , we have  the examples of Daniel and his friends. These were true worshippers. In Daniel 1, we read from vs 1- - -8 “ In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. 

8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself

This is true worship. Daniel was faced with the same choices that we have today, but he made up his mind ahead of time that his choice would be determined by what God wants and not what the situation dictates. We also have the example of his friends in Daniel 3, they will NOT bow down to the image set up by King Nebuchadnezzar. They displayed their reverential worship to their God. Today, New testament believers who are supposed to operate under a better covenant, who have the wisdom and power of God inside of them are bowing down to all kinds of things, with explanations and justifications. Supposed Christians lie about their taxes, their health, their relationships so they may have some extra money. They do business like those who do not know God. They may dance and sing in church, but their everyday actions do not show a reverence for the God they profess to worship.  God is calling us back to repentance. God has better things than the world has to offer to his TRUE WORSHIPPERS.

Ephe 4:17 says’ This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as [f]the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind”.  A true worshipper will run every decision by the one he/she worships.  If you have not done that, REPENT. Do not make an excuse, God has more for you than what Satan has to offer. You do not   have to run to the devil to get that job or that government paper. YOU CAN TRUST THE GOD YOU PROFESS TO WORSHIP. HE’S GOT YOU. HE HAS PROMISED TO HELP YOU. Do not be a lover of the world and its systems. It is passing away. ( 1John 2:17).

You are LOVED by the King of Kings Himself.

MY SHEEP HEARS MY VOICE

Dearly beloved,

John 10:4-5 says’ 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” Our God, the great shepherd of the sheep has spoken to us and continues to speak to us. He does  not  want us to be confused or ignorant  about what  he wants us to know , especially as we steadily proceed towards the last of the last days. Jesus told us in Matthew 24: 1-51about some of what we should  expect as the days begin to fly towards the end.  Our great Shepherd  says:

• Every physical, manmade edifice or acquisitions will be destroyed. Only things of eternal value will remain- Matt 24: 1-2.

• The sheep cannot be deceived if he/she stays close to the Shepherd, by   studying and obeying the word, by faithful fellowship, by maintaining a consistent prayer life –Vs 4. Satan can only deceive those who allow him to. We can fortify ourselves against the deceit of  Satan by intentionally putting on the whole armor of Christ as stated in Ephesians 6:11-18

• Verse 5 says many will come in the name of the Lord to deceive many- The only way to know a lie is to spend time in the TRUTH of God’s word.  John 17:17. This takes time and INTENTIONALITY. 

• DO NOT FEAR, when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, instead know that the end is near – (Vs 6-8). Our Lord and shepherd is telling us that this is the time to keep our gaze on him, knowing that He has not lost control. Fear is a trap of the devil.  It opens the door for sicknesses and diseases. If our great shepherd says DO NOT FEAR, it is unbelief and disobedience to give in to fear and make an excuse for it. - 2 Tim 1:7. However, Fear will come in when Faith is absent, and faith comes and is sustained only by the WORD OF GOD. Give it your full attention. Build your whole life around God’s word not your job, your earthly successes, etc. 

• Verses 36-41 tells us of how impromptu the coming of our Lord will be. Just as it was in the days of Noah (Gen 5-8). Men will be doing business as usual. Some would have joined the world system, acting just like then. They will be more interested in the gains of the world, than in what Heaven has to offer, then the end will come.  

Brethren, this is the time for us all to rethink our ways. Are we living intentionally for Jesus or are we dilly dallying with the world and its systems of doing things. This world is passing away.

May the LOVE FOR GOD AND HIS KINGDOM DRIVE AWAY THE FEAR AND SNARE OF THE WORLD in Jesus Great Name, Amen

What to do?  If you have veered from His will, you will know. Ask God for mercy. Repent. Get back on track with God. JESUS IS COMING FOR A RIGHEOUS CHURCH AND HE HAS HIS REWARD WITH HIM.

FATHER'S DAY: THE MAN OF VALOR

Dearly Beloved,

HAPPY FATHERS  to all the  great men of Valor in this great Family of God.

Who does the Bible call a man of Valor- From Scripture, we can get some good definitions-

A man of Valor is one 

• Ordained by God. That is you may not look like it or you may even feel a failure BUT GOD has made you one eg Gideon- Judges 6:12

• He is a man of courage and God’s wisdom eg David-  Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.”- Some definitions come out from here, He is talented, He is courageous, He speaks with God’s wisdom, He has a good personality, he was not a coward, he carries God’s presence- He is a man who worships God.

• He is a man that will not let his limitations define him- e.g. Naaman- The Bible says in 2Kings 5:1 Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper-

• They are spiritually sensitive and know the mind of God for the season- 1 sam 10: 26-27. These men of Valor knew that God had picked Saul and supported him. Unlike the sons of Belial who spoke roughly and will not follow the plan of God.

These are just a few examples. But from these we see God’s expectations is different and more superior to the world’s expectation. 

God said in Gen 18: 19 concerning Papa Abraham I have singled him out so that he will direct his sons and their families to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just. Then I will do for Abraham all that I have promised”. Can God say this concerning you?   Can he trust you to ensure that your family serves Him? A godly father humbles himself before God and hears him. This man of Valor fights the Lord’s battle:

God is looking out for MEN OF VALOR. Men who will co-labor with him to rescue their families, and everyone under their area of influence from the grip of the wicked. 

I see God equipping our Fathers to be MEN OF VALOR in Jesus Great Name. I also see our Fathers reaching out to God for help in being the MAN OF VALOR that God is looking out for.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL FATHERS IN THE HOUSE. You will not fail God.

Walking in the Power of the Pentecost

                  Dearly Beloved,                                                            

                      Today Sunday June 8th, we remember and celebrate PENTICOST. We celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told the Disciples in Acts 1:4-5 “And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. And in Acts 2 we read that the disciples obeyed and waited in unity.  Now Acts 2: 1 -2 says “ When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all [a]with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Jesus knew that their lives will be at risk without the power. However, with His power we can do the unimaginable.

So why do we need the person of the Holy Ghost- Some reasons are-

• He will teach us all things; I mean everything you need to know for a profitable living- John 14:26.

• He gives us unusual boldness to do exploits for him

• We have wisdom and understanding by the Spirit- Isaiah 11: 2

• We have counsel and strength- - Isaiah 11: 2

• We have unusual knowledge -- Isaiah 11: 2

• We have a reverential fear of God that makes us hate evil- - Isaiah 11: 2, Proverbs 8:13

How do we activate this Power in our lives? The first way is to recognize that this power has been given to every believer.  John 1 :12 says  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the [e]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.  So accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior is the foundation. The second most important action a Believer should take is to ask   for the filling of the Holy Ghost evidenced by the speaking of new tongues.  Now  that you have the  Spirit , you draw it out by faith for He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those [g]believing in Him would receive; for the [h]Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:38-39.
So the believer must recognize that he/she ALREADY has in him/her the Holy Ghost.  You stir yourself up by believing what God said, praying in the Holy Ghost and stepping out in Faith. You do not run around when faced with a challenge. You remember that you have been endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49).  The promise of God is for whosoever that believes this word. If He fell on them at the upper room, you can start having your own experience with Him TODAY. 

One other main requirement we see in Acts 2, was that they were in one accord. The believer must protect the unity of the family, the church or wherever the Lord places him. Keeping the unity in the Lord seems to be a requirement for one to enjoy the continued presence of the Holy Spirit.

Remember, you are not to do life alone. You have a HELPER. Today we celebrate PENTICOST. May His presence be very real and evident in your life in every way in Jesus Great Name.

MOTHER'S DAY SPECIAL:

 THREE TYPES OF MOTHER'S IN TWO SETS

Happy  mother’s day  to all God ordained mothers. This year’s mother’s day also aligns with our inaugural Interdenominational Women conference. Our God in His wisdom made us and equipped us to be  his co-laborers  as we mother the children He gave us and be great wives for our husbands.

Our case study during this season is the Prophetess Deborah in Judges 4 and 5. She was a wife and Judge. There are other mothers mentioned in this passage. These are Jael and Sisera’s mother. God penned these down  so  we can learn- Rom 15:4. Let’s start  with Prophet Deborah-

• DEBORAH: In a period where women were hardly heard, when they were nothing more than an extended property, in a time when there was  terrible oppression in Israel by the Canaanites, Jabin was the King, Sisera was the head of the army. They had 900 chariots of iron. Israel was oppressed for 20 years, Israelites were living in fear, they had turned to idolatry. It was at this time that the woman Deborah dared to boldly speak God’s word to Barak.  Her words showed that she trusted God completely. Her actions proved it, for faith without works is dead (James 2:17) Her doggedness encouraged Barak to mobilize the men who rose up to fight for their victory.  She was a mother in Israel. She arose to the challenges of her time. She boldly spoke God’s word. She lived that example and for 40 years after that, the land had Peace.  Her influence caused the people to return to the LORD. Mothers, God has given us such a great power of influence, we really do not have an excuse for failure or feelings of helplessness.

• JAEL: We read of Jael in Judges 5: 25-27. She was the stay at home wife of Heber. As a stay at home mum, she was knowledgeable of what was going on. Her husband was a Kenite, of the family of Moses father in law. There was some Peace between this family and Jabin, but Jael knew they were enemies of God. She was a hidden Disciple. She was ready for the enemy when he came to her tent. This enemy was Sisera at that time. Today it could be wrong biblical teaching, ungodly Philosophies, negative but pretentious friendships, subtle but ungodly habits. As mothers we need to be as discerning as Jael was. Fortunately, we have the help of the holy Spirit. As we stay in close fellowship with Him, through the word, in prayers, he will sharpen our inner antenna to decode and see the enemy before he strikes. 

• Sisera’s Mum- We read about her in Judges 5: 28-30- She was always waiting and expecting her son to bring her things and even Israelite girls when he goes for his rampage of Israel. She expected clothes, embroideries, things stolen from the Israelites. She did not caution her son. Her son continued to be a bully and terror because his mum supported him. Mums are you quiet or nonchalant   about the negative characters of your children, husband or those within your area of influence?  Do you entertain and collect things from your children which you know that they cannot afford? You are encouraging evil.  Sisera died at the feet of Jael with a tent peg on his head.  You are to call out evil. You are to denounce evil. You are to be an example of godliness. Ask the LORD today to be the godly mother He has called you to be. If Deborah could in the old testament, you can today. And for all godly mothers over there, refuse to be discouraged, quit ye like men and fight for the destinies that the LORD has placed in our care-( 1sam 4:9)

THE GLORIES OF HIS RESURRECTION PT. 2: 

THE GIFT OF GOD'S KINGDOM

                                THE GLORIES OF HIS RESURECTION part 2- THE GIFT OF GOD’S KINGDOM

Acts 1:3 says “ 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many [b]infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.” Our Lord Jesus resurrected from the grave and showed Himself for 40 days after His resurrection to His Disciples. During this period, He discussed the most important things on His mind to his closest friends and brethren- THE KINGDOM.  

So what is it about this Kingdom that our Lord had to emphasize to his Disciples knowing that he would soon go back bodily into Heaven? EVERYTHING. Everything in the believer’s life must be about this kingdom. It is this Kingdom that every believer belongs to. What obtains in this Kingdom must reflect in our lives because this is where we belong?  Some characteristics of this Kingdom include the following_

• It is a Kingdom of POWER. - 1 COR 4:20 SAYS “For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power, Again Psalm 62:11 says ‘God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God. What does this mean for the Believer, it means that every believer who lives in this kingdom has POWER. Power to walk in Victory, power to walk on snakes and scorpions, Power to do what the ordinary person cannot do. You cannot walk in the power of God and walk in fear, doubt and unbelief at the same time. Power gives you dominion over Satan, situation and unpleasant circumstances.  So make a choice TODAY to walk in the POWER that you have already received.

• It is a Kingdom of RIGHTIOUSNESS, PEACE AND JOY in the Holy Ghost. - Rom 14: 17 says for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.  Righteousness meaning, we are made right with God, through Faith in what Jesus did for us. 1 John 3: 7 also says ‘Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. So putting all these together, we see that God made us righteous when we believed in his son, and that by the gift of Righteousness we have, we are to live righteously, for sin shall not have dominion over us. So in this Kingdom we live how God would want us to. We live to please the King of this Domain.

• We have PEACE in this Kingdom- Isaiah 26:3

• We have JOY in this kingdom- Isaiah 12:3.

These are just a few of the characteristics of this Kingdom where we live (Psalm 91:1).  We enjoy these benefits by being genuinely born into it. That is by accepting that Jesus died for you. We enjoy these by believing what the word of God says and PRAYING it into existence. Why? This kingdom suffers violence. The violent take it by force. The passive will therefore keep explaining why things are not working. May you and I today violently take what belongs to us by our Lord’s resurrection in Jesus great Name.

APRIL: THE MONTH OF UNUSUAL LANDMARK

Dearly Beloved,

1 Peter 1:3 says      Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead . 

We have a Hope that  has its foundation and assurance on the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 

Further more, Hebrews 6:: 17-18 says ‘17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the [f]immutability of His counsel, [g]confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two [h]immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we [i]might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

Health and wholeness are included in the inheritance package that God has made available to us.  The passage says, God swore by himself that everyone of us  who  ran to Him, who would believe His word would certainly be rescued.  He called this hope ‘a strong consolation” It is not” maybe  or “ maybe not”

3 John 2 says  Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.  This is just one of the numerous promises of God   which tells us the mind of our God concerning our health and whatever is in our redemption package. He went into great lengths to prove to us how much he wanted us to know that this HOPE is not the world’s kind of hope but is steadfast and sure.  

What then is our response?  We act like Papa Abraham, “ we get  hold of the promise” ( Heb 6: 15). How and when did Abraham get hold of the promise-

• When he trusted and obeyed God and left to the land of promise-Gen 12:1, Gen 17:1

• When he looked at the stars and believed even when there was no physical evidence – Gen 13: 14

• When he would not get into strife with Lot-  Gen 13: 8

• When he went to fight the kings who had taken his brother and the family captive- Gen 14

• When he would not take anything from the kings—because only God was his source –Gen 14: 23

• When he entertained  strangers who turned out to be  God- Gen 18.

We have many more examples.  The Bible says we are  to be followers of those who through ‘Faith and Patience” obtained the promises of God- Heb 6:12.

The first step to enjoy this LIVELY HOPE is to accept Jesus as your LORD and Savior. When this is done, believe His word to HEAL YOU.

THE ABSOLUTE NECESSITY OF GOD'S WORD

Dearly Beloved,

           In 2 Chronicles 15: 3, 5 we read that ‘ 3 For a long time Israel was without the true God, without a priest to teach and without the law. 5 In those days it was not safe to travel about, for all the inhabitants of the lands were in great turmoil.  This is what happens when the Word of God is discarded in our lives. When we do not give it first place, when we become too busy doing our own thing, there will be great confusion, hopelessness, all kinds of anxiety. Israel had great turmoil, there was no Peace in the land.
The Prophet, friend of God and King David describes in various places in the word the importance of the word of God. We will look at a few from the longest Psalm in the Bible   which is basically dedicated to showing us how awesome the Word of God is. In Psalm 119 

• Vs 1-  The Word of God keeps us from being defiled, contaminated in this world

• Vs 2-  We are blessed (Happy, fortunate) when we allow God’s word to stay in our hearts. We believe in and obey it even when it may not make intellectual sense.

• Vs 9- You want to stay out of trouble. Take in God’s word

• Vs 11- When we hide God’s word in our heart and protect it from the lies of this world, it will keep us from sin

• Vs 16- We must make an intentional decision to love God’s word. To crave for it more than we do our earthly possessions’ such as riches etc

• Vs 18- There are great wonders in the word. We can pray that God opens our eyes to see it.

• Vs 19- We are strangers here, Only the word of God will show us how to navigate through this present evil world

• Vs 25- Without the Word of God, I tend toward death and destruction. It is God’s word that brings meaning to life.

• Vs 27- The Word helps us understand how God our Father operates

• Vs 89- God’s Word is the same and forever settled. What he did  before, He will do again.

• Vs 98- The Word of God gives us wisdom on how to deal with numerous enemies that surrounds us in various ways

• Vs 136- If we love God’s word, it should ache us when we see people who does not obey God.

• These and many more are reasons why you  must give the WORD OF GOD priority over every other thing. How do you do this?

• Start by asking the Lord Himself to teach you. Be intentional. You can do a book study, That is take a book of the Bible  at a time, get various other translations. Try getting the whole story so you do not take a verse out of context.  Jesus, the WORD, promised us that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things. So start by READING, THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU READ AND DETERMINE TO OBEY WHAT GOD SAYS. The Word of God is a letter from a loving Father to His Beloved Children. I see it affecting all of yours  in Jesus great Name,  Amen.

I REST IN WHAT GOD HAS PROVIDED FROM ME

Dearly Beloved,

                         Genesis  2:2 says 2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. We can be sure that God did not rest because He was so tired, and could not lift a finger any more. He rested because He was done. The job of creating and creation was concluded. He also rested to give us an example of  Rest. Today, however, we will talk more on His finished work. This tells me that all I will ever need has already been provided. To confirm this, Jesus came and died on the cross and decreed, it is finished (John 19:30).  How does this all relate to our Health?  It means that God has concluded  the provision for our health and Healthy living. Apostle Peter confirms this  in 1 Peter 2:24, he said “ 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose [g]stripes you were healed. Note that Peter is speaking in the past tense.  Peter also demonstrated this understanding in Acts 3 at the Beautiful gate, when him and John were confronted by the man who has been lame from the womb. He said in Vs 6 “6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”  Waoo and the man  was raised  up physically and he really walked. Peter did not say, I am going to get the healing power, he said I have it now. He said this because Jesus had  given them power, and he saw Jesus rose from the dead, confirming the completion of all that God has promised us. Peter said ‘Such as I have”. Do you know you have inside of you God’s healing power? It is inside you, if you are a born again child of God.  Most of us have let it go dormant and so are looking out for external things to solve our health challenges. You  and I have God’s healing power inside of us, not only for ourselves but also to meet the needs of those around us.  How then do you engage or activate this power inside of you?

• By first knowing that it is there- Peter said, I have it. This is by believing what you read in the Bible

• By speaking forth the Healing power. Based on your confidence in God’s word you speak out the desired result. It makes look like nothing is happening at first, keep at it. Speak God’s word out with boldness. Faith is voice activated.

• You cannot be a student of the word and not love to pray. Praying makes sure you are connected with the Power source. So pray in your understanding and in the Spirit. Pray in Faith, starting from the premise that I have the power of God in me. Do not pray prayers of unbelief such as telling God to come and do   what he has already done and informing Him of how pitiable your situation is.  Those are prayers of Doubt  NOT Faith.

I see you walking out of every sickness and disease in Jesus great Name.  Ephesians 3: 20 says ‘ 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”. His power is working in the believer. Let us now begin to stir it up.

THE CRY FOR MERCY

Dearly Beloved,

            Mercy is available for EVERYONE who desires it, who asks for it.  The book of Hebrews 4:16 says “16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. 

Mercy is defined as ‘Being compassionate to an offender, or showing help and kindness to an inferior.  It is therefore important for every believer to know we are all candidate of the Mercy of God. We receive by Faith in this kingdom. We do not earn anything. How then do we continue to enjoy this Mercy that God has already made available? He made it available to everyone at the coming of our Lord Jesus. To know how to obtain and retain Mercy we look at some bible examples:

Mephiboshet: In 2 Sam 9:1-13 we see the King David showing Mercy and unusual kindness to Mephibosheth for Jonathan his friend’s sake.  Mephibosheth, described himself as a ‘dead dog”. But he received Mercy. When David sent for him at Lodabar he came. That took Faith.  He could have been scared that David wanted to have him killed and maybe run the other direction. God tells everyone to come in Jesus Name. Everyone who comes boldly will obtain Mercy because Jesus has done a complete work.  So Mercy is obtained by Faith in the completed work of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Mark 10: 46-49 we read of how blind Bartimaeus obtained Mercy and got healed.

46 Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

48 Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called.

Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.”

A few things  to note here from Bartimaeus:

• He was engaging though blind

• He had the right information about Jesus

• He was spiritually alert

• He cried out insistently for Mercy

• He would not be intimidated or discouraged in his cry for Mercy.

May you encounter unusual Mercy TODAY, throughout this YEAR and beyond in Jesus Great Name,

EXCELLENCE IN OUR DNA

Dearly Beloved,

            We Christians come from an excellent source. In John 15:5 we read , Jesus saying to us’ “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”  Jesus is our source. The quality of any material is known from  the  source it is taken. As we run through this year we are reminded that inside of us is an excellent Spirit. Let us see what is expected  of  one who knows his/her root. Let us look at Daniel as a case study. In Chapter 1, we read

• He and his   friends came into Babylon as Prisoners  of War Vs 1-2

• They were trainable but did not lose their identity- Vs 4-5

• The Babylonians attempted to change their identity, but NO. These boys knew their source.

• Daniel and friends  made up their mind ahead of time not to defile themselves, even though such decision may have  cost them their lives- Vs7-12

• God  gave them  unusual wisdom.

Whatever we read in scripture tells us what we are capable of if we apply ourselves to God’s word as they did.  Today people who are said to be believers are quickly swayed by the world around them. We have reasons and rationalities why we  defile ourselves and behave like those around us.  God is showing us through the example of Daniel that we can live by the same Spirit of excellence that was in Daniel. In fact, every new testament believer operates under a better covenant than Daniel did in his time.  To live the excellent life and represent Jesus in this decaying world, here are some decisions  we should make ahead of time:

•  I make a  decision to walk by Faith at all times – 2 Cor 5:7

• Make a covenant with your eyes not to look at worthless things- Job 31:1,  Psalm 101:3

• I will live by God’s instruction alone – Psalm 32:8

• I will come out from among them and be separated unto God- 2 Cor 6:17

There are many more decision we can take ahead of time.  When we take such decisions, God is pleased. We show that we are genuinely living for him. He says in  2 Cor 17-18“ 17 Therefore,

“Come out from them     and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing,     and I will receive you.”[d] 18 And, “I will be a Father to you,  and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”[e]
Do you desire excellence, make that decision TODAY. Ask for help from the Holy Spirit and see yourself  become a wonder to your world in Jesus great Name.

RIGHTEOUSNESS: A REQUIREMENT FOR DESTINY FULFILLMENT PART 1

Dearly Beloved,

          As we continue into this glorious year 2025, it is paramount that we are intentional about putting some ancient landmark in place.  A number of prophecies have gone ahead of us; we are in the 17th day of our 100 day fast.  This period of fasting must not be wasted. However, our God is a covenant keeping God. That means, that both parties must have a part to play. If we must enjoy a Landmark year, we must be diligent to obey God. One particular example comes to mind, which is that of Samson in the Bible. He had an angel come twice to give instructions on the purpose and uniqueness of his birth yet he did not conclude his assignment as God would want him to.

Let us take a look at some of his errors and how it concerns us:

In Judges 13:5 we read’ 5 For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.” 

From here we see that Samson had been ordained to be set apart unto God. We also are set apart unto God. 1 Pt 2:9 says 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

In Judges 14:1  we read that this chosen man of God went DOWN to Timnah ‘  Now Samson went down to Timnah, and saw a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the Philistines.

We see here that Samson:

• Had a weakness that he did not deal with- WOMEN

• He went down to be with the people he was ordained to conquer.

• Because he went down to Timnah (the wrong place) he saw the wrong thing, an uncircumcised woman. This was the beginning of his downfall.

Child of God, heavily blessed and loved by God, where do you go?  who do you like to hang out with?, These may seem little, but little steps like this determine whether you will fully enjoy God’s plan for your life. Where do you allow your mind to go? If you notice your mind going to thoughts that are against God’s word as written in Phillipians 4:8 which says’ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these thing,.’  bring it back to God’s  word. All this and more connotes ‘going to Timnah”. This was the beginning of the fall of Samson. May we not be found there in Jesus great Name.

Samson was not committed in obeying God. He would rather please himself, His choice was to follow the popular at that time, not recognizing his uniqueness. As we continue in our Fasting and prayer, God is calling us to be apart for a special purpose, to devastate Satan’s kingdom. We can only achieve this in righteousness which comes by Grace and which also requires our intentionality. Receive Grace to walk every day in His righteousness in Jesus great Name Amen.

IS THERE NO BALM IN GILEAD? IS THERE NO PHYSICIAN THERE?

Dearly Beloved,

            God spoke through prophet Jeremiah  in Chapter 8:22’ Is there no balm in Gilead, Is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery For the health of the daughter of my people?’ This was a cry of wonder and astonishment! God’s people has gone far into adulatory. The Prophet, speaking the mind of God kept telling them to return  to serving  the only true God- The LORD. He called them to repentance but the Israelites were far gone.  They served the gods of  the surrounding nations, they behaved like them and  so suffered like them.  This is the same with us  in the body of Christ today. We get so intermingled with the unbelieving world , we see things through their eyes and wonder why we all suffer alike,

Jesus is our Balm in Gilead.  Healing is part of our inheritance in this kingdom we belong to. However, we have to know we have it, we also have to know what to do to access it, for example. Apostle Paul said in Phil 3: 12, 14 ‘Not that I have already attained,[c] or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me,   verse 14 says   I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.  The word PRESS connotes intentionally pushing or forcefully getting- something. This is how it works in this kingdom. We are pressing because we have a terrible opponent- He is Satan the wicked. (1Cor 16:9) God our Father has made healing available in Christ. But we must take hold of it.  How do we press?

• We have absolute assurance that healing has been provided and it is for me. I qualify because I have accepted Jesus as  my Lord and Saviour.( 1Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5)

• Live a sanctified life. Righteousness is a defence (2 Cor 6:7). Sin opens the door for Satan to come in with all his baggage

• Stay in God’s word. Let God’s word dwell in you richly.  Col 3:16

• Believe God’s word, speak it, behave it.

• PRAY, PRAY, PRAY.- Keep the communication with your Father vibrant. (james 5:13, 1 Thess 5:17)

• Serve the Lord in  every and any capacity. ( Ex 23:25, Matt 9:37). God is committed to keeping the health of His ambassadors.(2 Cor 5:20)

We overcome by Faith which comes by hearing God’s word.  Stay in the Word.  Make yourself too hot for the enemy to handle. See yourself walking healed, strong and fulfilling God’s plan for your life in Jesus great Name. Amen.

FASTING: RESPONSIBLITIES AND BENEFITS

Dearly Beloved,

           We have just commenced a 100 days fasting and prayer period. Great things will be accomplished in our lives as we joyfully follow this instruction in Jesus great Name. Amen.

To be clear, the New Testament fasting is being off physical Food and anything that will distract you from giving enhanced attention to the study of the word and Prayer.

We do not earn anything in this Kingdom we belong to. We receive what God has ALREADY made available through Jesus. It is extremely important that we get this. If not the tendency is for us- New Testament believers to slip into legalism.  Then we will see Fasting as an old Testament way of begging God to release His blessing on us. Then we get angry and say things like’I have fasted and fasted yet God did not answer me”. The answer is already there and available. However, for various reasons we are yet to assess it so we FAST and PRAY so as to get access into God’s already made provision.

In 1Kgs 18:41-43  we read ‘41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” 42 So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees. Elijah has heard by the Spirit sound of abundance of Rain. He told Ahab by Faith to go up, but the Rain has not yet fallen. The manifestation was yet to be seen. But He knew His God, so he went up to the mountain and prayed until the Rain fell. James 5: 17 tells us to pray like he did.  

Fasting as commanded by God will enhance our prayer and word life and bring us to the place where we can receive those promises (the abundance of Rain) which we have read of, believed for but are yet to see the manifestation. So the period of Fasting is not just to stay off food. It is to give time to Study the word, pray and have your faith strengthened. Remember our Faith pleases God. (Heb. 11:6)

Isaiah 58 gives us some benefits we should expect when we fast in a way that is pleasing to God.

• The Hold of wickedness on you or on your loved ones will be loosed Vs 6

• Every one oppressed under the yoke of the wicked will be delivered- Vs6

• Your health will improve Suddenly-Vs 8

• There will be outbreak of Revelation- Vs8

• You will recover lost opportunities- Vs 8

• God’s righteousness in you will be Seen-Vs 8

• God’s Glory will be behind you- Vs 8

• There will be speedy answers to Prayers-Vs 8

• You will receive super natural guidance- Vs 11

• You will be ever fresh Spiritually and physical- Vs11

These are just a few. Please read the whole chapter and see what God, your Father has in stall for you. Do not let your body be your God this season. Press on in Prayer consistently with JOY because you know the end result will be VICTORY.  You can take warm water during the day to stay hydrated. But STUDY THE WORD, LISTEN TO PROVEN MESSAGES, PRAY, SEEK GOD’S FACE ON EVERY ISSUE OF CONCERN and see yourself changing levels in ways that will surprise even YOU in Jesus great Name. Amen.

CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS

Dearly Beloved,

           Again I wish ya’all an awesome new year.   One major way for us to excel in this year 2025 and fulfill the plan of God in making it a landmark year is to choose to believe God especially in the area of our thoughts. 2 Cor 10:3-5 says “ For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.’

Strong holds are defined as  a fortified place that could be a place of protection against the enemy or  a strong enclosure that holds one captive such that you cannot escape. So. When you refuse to take God’s word, believe it and think it, you automatically put yourself under a stronghold. That is, you imprison yourself, making you an easy prey for the enemy. 

For example, in Numbers 13, Twelve spies went to see the land that God has ALREADY given to the Israelites. When they came back, ten of them said  in vs 33’ 33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”   This was a stronghold. They saw themselves defeated. But hear Caleb, he said “30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” Same situation but he had a different mentality.  They confirmed this in Chapter 14:8 Joshua and Caleb said’ 8 If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.

Now God responded to their thoughts and words in vs  28‘ So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say:   and in vs 30 God said ” Not one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

What was the difference between these two sets of people? Their THOUGHTS. One set knew their God and that understanding affected their thoughts and even though the situation was the same, they entered the land and possessed it according to God’s original agenda. Another set, in fact the majority died in the wilderness. 

Brethren, as we get closer to the end of the age darkness will cover the earth (Isaiah 60:2 ), we have a responsibility to take in God’s   thoughts in prints- HIS WORD- believe them, think them. Let them become the fabric of your thoughts. Cast down, wage war on thoughts that does not align with God’s word. If your heart is whispering to you what is against God’s word, fight it with God’s word. That is called fighting the good fight of Faith.

This year 2025, will be your best year ever as you continue to think how God wants you to think in Jesus Great Name. Amen

TAKE AWAY THE ACCURSED THING

Dearly Beloved,

            As we run steadily towards  the end of the glorious year 2024 one thing that will ensure that we continue to enjoy the Victory that God has ordained for us is that we are intentional about taking away anything  from our lives that displeases God..

The plan of God for His people is continued victory despite prevailing circumstances ((Isaiah 2:2, Gal1:4). This is God’s original plan for every born again Christian.  His plan includes a better and brighter future.

Having dominion is a covenant right for every believer. however, we can become victims of circumstances  just like it occurred with the Israelites when they had in their midst the accursed thing, they became victims and ran away from the enemy. In Joshua 7: 11-12  we read’ Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. For they have even taken some of the [g]accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff. 12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they have become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you’

Do not allow any accursed thing to cling to you. As you round up this year, take stock. Ask the Lord to show you if by any chance you have any property of the enemy. Such will include anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, malice, lust, unbelief etc.  All these and more are properties of the devil. You have no need of them. These will make   you run from the adversary instead of dominating them.

In Genesis 35: 4-5 we read

” 4 So they gave Jacob all the foreign [a]gods which were in their hands, and the earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the terebinth tree which was by Shechem.

5 And they journeyed, and the terror of God was upon the cities that were all around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.

 As they obeyed God and took away all idols, they became a terror  to the surrounding cities and they could not be hurt

As we go towards the end of the year and enter into the new year we must remember that God says in 1 John 3:3 ‘  All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.’  We have a responsibility to take stock and determine that  we will not carry  any baggage into year 2025.  That way we are assured of Victory and are taking over every territory God has preordained for us in Jesus Glorious name. Amen

THE MAGNANIMITY OF THE LOVE OF GOD

Dearly Beloved,

            The Christmas story  is about  a God who loved us so much that He would do the unthinkable just to prove it. John 3:16 says ‘ For God so loved the world (me) that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

I love the Christmas season because it reminds me over and again that I am special. God will go  all the way to show me His love. He desired to bridge the  broken relationship between Him and me. I did not qualify to come to Him. I had committed high  treason by the sin of my ancestor Adam and so had no relationship with my God and creator. It broke His heart. He wondered how the relationship can be restored. I could not help myself. I was doomed to be under the bondage of sin, sickness and all that Satan had to offer. I was in a terribly hopeless state.  Then God thought out a solution. He  alone  can come and rescue me. He could  only do it as a man, because Adam who put us in the situation was a man. So God decided to come in the person of Jesus. Jesus  was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born  of the virgin Mary. Fully God, yet fully man. He took this form, because that was the only way I could be rescued from the grip of Satan. He came as a new born babe, He grew like every child would into adulthood. He was therefore able to experience everything I can experience as a human being. That qualified  him  as man to take all the punishment I deserved because of my sin. His coming also gave me power to defeat Satan. I  now have assurance , because I have received His sacrifice for my sin that I have an eternal home with Him. All these benefits would not have even be available to me if He had not come as flesh(John 1:1), as a baby. 

The Christmas story also tells me that God keeps His word. Prophecies made at creation, some others 700 years plus before were  fulfilled when Jesus was born.

This is my story and is the story  of every believer who have accepted Jesus as Lord. 

Now the Bible says in Rom 8:32’ He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

Also Galatians 1 :4 says ‘who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

So as we celebrate Christmas, lets  release our Faith. Do not join the world to do an empty celebration. Remember the awesome opportunities and victory it represents.

Christmas reminds me that I am LOVED, I am PRICELESS, I am VICTORIOUS, I am too PRECIOUS and PECULIAR to go play with sin. My God will go all lengths for me.

THE EFFECTS OF PRAISE

Dearly Beloved,

                         Welcome to the month of December. Our month of ABSOLUTE VICTORY IN JESUS.

 Psalm 34: 1-3 says I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. 3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.

King David is said to have written this Psalm under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost at one of the lowest point in his life.  The details of this season of his life is found in 1 Samuel 21. Briefly, these are some things happening in his life then’

• He was running for his life. King Saul had placed a death sentence on him – Verse 1-2

• He and the men with him had no food- Vs 3

• He had nothing to protect himself, no sword or Weapon-Vs 8

• He had to go to the land of the enemy- the Philistines- to hide for safety

• He had to behave like a mad man so he will not be killed by the Philistines-Vs 12-15

Despite these things going on at that time, he said “I will bless the Lord at all times— “. I am not sure what anyone reading this may be going through, I believe it cannot be as bad as what David an old testament saint was going through at this time. He must have known something we are yet to grasp.  He must have known that PRAISE TO GOD---

• Takes our focus from ourselves and the unpleasant situation and directs our focus on God, who will always make things right

• Removes our name from those who are unthankful-2 Timothy 3:2

• Pleases God as we enthrone Him as Lord in spite of whatever the situation is.

• Shows that we trust God

• Stops the enemy and the avenger of Blood. Stops the agenda of the enemy- Matt 21:16. Psalm 8:2 

These are just a few. Praising God brings him into that situation. Praise Him TODAY. As we start our 15 days fast, remember to be intentional about being thankful and praiseful.  DO NOT MURMUR. Murmuring displeases God. DO NOT COMPLAIN. It also displeases God.  Instead say like David and mean it – ‘I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES----‘As you do this intentionally, see God coming through for you in every area. See Him crowning the year with His goodness. Only our God can do that.  Receive fresh Grace to stay PRAISEFULL throughout this season and beyond and enjoy a life style of the miraculous in Jesus great Name. Amen.

KNOWING YOUR SPIRITUAL IDENTITY

Dearly Beloved,

                          A number of Christians are in church but are not assured of their identity.  For this reason, they seek their affirmation from what people in the world would see as important.  The believer has an awesome and enviable status in God.

The Believer.

•  Is a new and special specie- 2 Cor 5: 17-18

• Have their sin forgiven and forgotten- Heb 8:12

•  Is born into the family of God by a seed that cannot be corrupted- 1 Peter 1:23

• Has been made an overcomer- Rom 8:37

• Is translated from the Dominion of darkness into God’s own Kingdom, gaining an overcoming status – Col 1:13-14. Satan does not determine your result.

When we are accepted into God’s family, we are made righteous by God. 2 Cor 5: 21 says

 God made him who had no sin to be sin[b] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Also Heb 10:2 says  For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once [a]purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.

God wants His children to be righteousness conscious NOT sin conscious.  Being sin conscious makes you see yourself as always being a victim of anything Satan throws at you. And Satan is the deceiver of the whole world.  Being righteousness conscious is one major way you can walk out on the devil. See your self as God sees you, see yourself as righteous, see yourself as Holy, then the taste for unholiness will die. Addictions will be broken. Undesirable habits will lose their grip in Jesus great name. The Christian can only enjoy Victory when He/she sees himself or herself as God does. Believe it, think and meditate on it and then keep confessing it. That way, when Satan comes in any way, you will not be terrified but will boldly   put him where he belongs.  Phil 1:28 says ‘ and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but [f]to you of salvation, and that from God.

You may make a mistake, we all do. When you do, you do not stay down. Get up and remind yourself that you are God’s righteousness, so sin has no power to keep you under.

BEWARE OF UNGODLY PHILOSOPHIES

Dearly Beloved,

                         Colossians 2;8-10 says, ‘ See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces[a] of this world rather than on Christ.'

9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority 

Our philosophy is our system of thinking.  How we relate with the world around us. Apostle Paul was telling us that we Satan will take us captive, cheat us out of our inheritance if  we  choose the philosophy of the world or tradition over God’s word. 

We have a lot of Church going Christians who read the Bible but do not allow the Bible to affect their everyday life. God’s word is eternal and is ever relevant to every and any situation.  The word of God is God’s thoughts  in prints.   John 17:17  Sanctify them by[d] the truth; your word is truth.  Also  Mark 12: 31’  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength’.  God’s word MUST affect our whole outlook. It must affect:

How you think

How you live

What you wear

How you relate to everyday issues

How you respond to Government policies, politics

 And many more.

If we say, it does not matter what you watch, what music you dance to etc, you give Satan ,the adversary an opportunity to cheat you of the great life God has in stall  for you as His child. A lot of Christians may not be enjoying their walk with God, because they think Bible is different from the secular world. God wants His word in us to affect EVERY AREA  of our lives. When in doubt of any issue, study the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit and commit to follow what the word says and not what tradition expects.

Your days will be like the days of HEAVEN UPON THE EARTH.

A good place to start is to accept Jesus as LORD. He must be LORD OF ALL.

HEARING FROM GOD PT. II: WHO HEARS FROM GOD 

Dearly Beloved,

                          I welcome us to this blessed month of October 2024.  Every of our hidden Glory will be exposed in Jesus Great Name. A major way for our Glory to shine is to hear our father’s voice.

As we continue our study on ‘HEARING FROM GOD’, we will define who hears from God. Every believer has a covenant right to hear directly from his/her father. God calls His sheep by name. So, all of us can hear specifically words of comfort, direction, instructions from God. However, not all of us are. As a fact, I can say majority of church going Christian do not know that they can expect to hear clear directions on issues that face them. Some reasons include the following:

•  They know about God, but do not know the Lord: 1 Sam 3: 7 says (Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him.)’ Knowing God means staying in His word, listening to other anointed men and women of God, asking God for understanding and meditating on His word, staying in fellowship with other believers .  Samuel did not know the Lord, not because of a known sin but because of ignorance.  Spiritual Ignorance is a major reason most Believers do not hear from God, even though He is always speaking.

• A disobedient life style:  1 Samuel 2:12 says  ‘ Now the sons of Eli were corrupt;[e] they did not know the Lord’.  Here, the sons of Eli did not hear God, the light has gone dim because these young men continued to disobey God and live by their own standards. It is amazing, how many Christians I meet, who are openly living in disobedience e.g., living in offence, in prolonged anger, in unforgiveness, pride and expect to hear from God. Even though God is still speaking, sin turns your ears away from your God.  Sin brings a blockage. Prov 4:20-22 says we should tune our ear to God. Sin, known disobedience turns our ears away from our fathers’ voice. So, refuse to let these little foxes destroy your tender grapes.  Staying in disobedience is extremely costly.  Unforgiveness clogs your ears from hearing from the only one who has your answer. So, what to do? Ask God for help to let go of every offence.   Confess it as sin. Trust God to walk in forgiveness and God’s love.

I see God causing your ears and heart to pop open In ways beyond your widest imagination. In this new month of October, you hear will God so clearly that your life will be an expression of His GLORY in every area  in Jesus Great Name.

HEARING FROM GOD PART ONE: A COVENANT HERITAGE

Dearly Beloved,

                         This week we are starting a series on how the believer can hear from God.

 The days we live in presently is described in the Bible as the ‘evil days’ or the ‘last days. 

As we go steadily closer to the return of our Lord we can expect to see more chaos, confusion and the like. But we have an assurance all through the Bible that His children will be led by Him.  They will not be victims of the insecurity and confusion that plague the world today. Let us look at John 10:  1-5 says ‘ “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers

14 says’ 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep and am known by My own.

Verses 27-28 says ‘My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow, Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

We can see that the ability of the sheep to be led by the great Shepherd is that the Sheep KNOWS   the voice of the shepherd.  The sheep has spent time with the shepherd, such that even amid chaos, he can detect the voice of His Shepherd. 

Brethren, knowing takes time. It takes commitment, it takes intentionality. The Sheep spends quality time with His/her great shepherd.  That would mean spending time in fellowship with Him, in the study of the word and Prayer, in putting the word to work. This is vital in the times that we are in. If you do not KNOW the voice of your shepherd, you will be confused by the stranger, the thief, the killer and destroyer (John 10:10).  Brethren, spend time to know Him. Have quality time with Him and other believers. Read books of anointed men and women of God. Be INTENTIONAL.  Do not use work as an excuse, do not allow the daily busyness to reduce the quality of your communion with Him. 

Next we will look at conditions to  knowing  His voice. 

I see God popping open your spiritual ears and increasing your spiritual sensitivity in Jesus great Name.

JESUS HEALED THEM ALL

Dearly Beloved,

                    As we focus on our healing covenant this month, we remind ourselves of the good plan God has for us His children. 

In Mark 5: 21-43, we read of our Lord being approached by Jarius on behalf of his twelve years old daughter who was sick unto death.  This tells us that we can   and should stand before God on the behalf of our loved ones.  We are assured that God will answer and intervene in the matter of concern.

Take time to read this passage again.  We see the Woman with the Issue of Blood. A few things we must get from this, when we desire God’s intervention in our health.

• She had heard of Jesus- Verse 27

• She said to herself, before she touched Jesus’ garment- Verse 28.  She allowed what she heard to ignite Faith in her heart. She did not speak doubt to herself.  Brethren, what you say to yourself even amid that ordeal is vital, if you want to  see the miraculous.

• She pushed against the crowd to get to touch Jesus’ garment.  Jesus said, the violent takes it by force. (Matt 11:12).  Some of us i are too complacent when it comes to getting our miracle. We want someone to do the work of praying for us. We make excuses and give reasons why we are sick or not enjoying God’s best. This woman did not allow her present condition to determine her state. She was losing blood; her money was all spent, yet she did not let her hope die.  She applied violence in pushing through the crowd. 

How can we do the same today?

• Allow God’s word to frame your thoughts

• Think and speak God’s word   despite the physical situation

• Persist in Prayer. Praying all kinds of prayer- Eph 6:18

• Expect to be healed. The woman said to herself that she will be made whole.

• Refuse to give in to Fear. Verse 36. Jesus told Jarius even with the news that his daughter has died, He said ‘DO NOT FEAR’. Fear and Faith do not co-exist. You will need to choose one. I pray you choose FAITH and stick with it. Your healing is here in Jesus great Name. Amen.

Jesus healed the Woman, the daughter and even the demonized man of  Gadarenes. Your case cannot be different. BE MADE WHOLE IN JESUS GREAT NAME. AMEN

WE GIVE GOD THANKS

                 On September 1, 2021, we signed the new contract for the property that legally allowed us to continue its use the as one of the branches of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Ever since then, in the last 3 years, God Himself have sustained and increased His church. We have witnessed testimonies, evidencing His great acts in our midst. We have seen Him confirm His word and His presence in our midst. To Him alone be all the Glory. We are wise to give God thanks. We are wise to praise Him. When we praise God, we shift our whole attention to Him. The more we look at Him, the more we become radiant (Psalm 34:5). The more we see His greatness, the more the problems we think are overwhelming begin to shrink.

The word says in Psalm 8:2 ‘ Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have [b]ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger’. Our Lord Jesus reiterated this verse in Matt 21: 16 He said,’ And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?”

Jesus did not make a mistake. In Matthew, He equated PRAISE with STRENGTH.  So, one benefit of praise is that you gain strength against the enemy of your destiny. These are spiritual laws that when put in motion will yield the desired results.   Some Christians will only genuinely praise God when they have (physically) what they want.  If not, they murmur, they complain. These are very dangerous actions. These are against the covenant. Daniel 11:32 says’  Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall [o]corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

A lot of people experience a hard life, because they celebrate only what Satan is doing. It is a choice to see what God is doing, talk about it, sing about it, celebrate it. As we do this, like the one out of ten lepers in  Luke 17: 11-19 , we  will see supernatural interventions and wholeness in the  issues that concern us. 

LET’S CELEBRATE THE GOODNESS OF OUR GOD.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE OF DOMINION

Dearly Beloved,

                 We have had a great time studying the book of Colossians during our Friday Bible studies. This book tells us in Colossians 3:1-4

 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

The Christian life is one of Dominion. We do not earn God’s goodness. We are born into God’s family when we make a choice to accept Jesus as our Lord.  Being a member of this great family gives us rights and ability to live as God’s children.  (John1:12). As a child of God, we are to strongly desire or search out things that are above.  These are things that should hold our attention. We can only search intensively for the things above when we are sure that we are raised with Him. A lot of supposed ‘Christians’ do not care about things above. We say we are Christians but are more informed of the things of the earth. God expects His children to represent His Kingdom on the earth.

 In doing this, that is in desiring the things above Verses 5-7 says ‘ Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them’.

We are living at a time in History, where people are more interested in what pleases them.  Also, this is a time where people think that they cannot help themselves. 

Brethren inherent in God’s word is His power. He says we are to PUT TO DEATH all the things that He does not want to find in His kingdom. We are not to explain why we are trying, because as His children all these named above have no power over us.

Receive fresh Grace TODAY to walk away from anything that does not represent the Kingdom of God, in Jesus Great Name. Amen. You are an OVERCOMER in Jesus Name.

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

Dearly Beloved,

Welcome to our week, when we remind ourselves of the healing covenant we have in redemption.   You need to see who God says you are, see what He has made available to you before you can enjoy the benefits of redemption.  You cannot see yourself as a victim and live a victorious life. You cannot allow the world to paint a sick, helpless self and walk in divine health. 

God asked the Prophet Jeremiah in chapter 1:11-12 11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a [c]branch of an almond tree.” 12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [d]ready to perform My word.”

God also did the same to papa Abraham in Genesis 15:5-6’ Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” 6 And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

So, what you see determines who you become. If you  allow the Word of God to paint to you your health covenant, and like Jeremiah you see your health springing up like the Almond tree or if like papa Abraham you see yourself growing and expanding as the stars of Heaven, even when Satan comes with his lies and tries to put that health challenge on you,  you will walk out of the devil and his plans. You will not go around telling everyone ‘I have the flu”, oh because of my age I have this and that sickness”. God is committed to bringing to pass what you see. So, what do you see? If your spiritual eyes have been blurred up till now, go back to God’s word and see your picture. I will give you just a few here. 

Acts 10:38 says

 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him

Psalm 107:17-20 says

Fools, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted. 18 Their soul abhorred all manner of food, And they drew near to the gates of death. 19 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. 20 He sent His word and healed them And delivered them from their 

destructions.

These are just a few. The Bible paints your picture of Health. Look it up, believe it receive it, act on it and see yourself  be the healthy strong son and daughter of  the King of Kings.

ALWAYS TRIUMPHING

Dearly beloved,

2Corinthians 2 :14 says ‘ 14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us [d]diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 

God always leads us to triumph. That means that as we trust Him, in the end we win.  The child of God, however, must face  the battle for his/her destiny with the  tools prescribed be our Lord and Savior.  Hebrews 4, gives an instructive scenario. Verses 1-4 says’Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, [a]not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:

“So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’ ” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Oh, how I pray that God’s people can really trust God.  God had a rest for His people, but they did not enter it because they did not believe Him enough to act on the word they heard. How does that relate to us today:  Some of the tools we have include.

• The tool of PRAISE. Praise is an expression of your faith in God. Faith pleases God. We do not please God, if we do not walk by Faith.

• Praise is warfare., Praise disarms the enemy and the avenger-Psalm 8:2

• Praise   attracts the presence of God and opens the door for revelation knowledge- Psalm 22:3

• Praising God even when you do not understand or feel like show that you trust Him enough to obey Him- Psalm 34:1

• Murmuring and complaining  displeases God. - Numbers 14

A lifestyle of praise is a lifestyle of Victory.   Psalm 144:1 says Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle— ‘. 

Receive afresh the garment of PRAISE for every Spirit of Heaviness in Jesus great Name.

THE LOVE WALK

Dearly Beloved,

In Revelation 2: 1-6 we read about Jesus the Head and  the owner of the  church saying’ “To the [a]angel of the church of Ephesus write,

‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: 2 “I know your works, your labor, your [b]patience, and that you cannot [c]bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. 

Our Lord told a church that was doing   most of   what the average Christian does today that they have fallen from their first love. Most of us have not even attempted to get to the level of these believers in Ephesus. A genuine love for God must be shown by what we do. Jesus said ‘repent- change your ways, do what you used to do when you first came to the Lord.

How were you praying then? How did you study God’s word? With excitement, with Joy, how? Is that still obtainable today? Or do you have excuses why you cannot serve God as you did at first?  How did you evangelize then? How did you attend fellowship with the brethren, how did you love your fellow brother and Sister?

1Cor 2:9 says But as it is written:

  But as it is written Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man, The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.

Jesus demands our best.  That of course is if we want to enjoy His best.  We see Daniel making an intentional decision NOT to defile himself with the King’s meat (Daniel 1:8). The result was that He was set on high. He was counsellor to at least 5 kings in a country where he went in as a slave.  God gave him Favor; God gave him wisdom such that he was the head of the King’s wise men at that time.  

Brethren, God has not changed.   If we drop the excuses, repent and do what Daniel did, we will enjoy supernatural promotion. God wants us to live supernaturally. He wants us to do the work we did for Him at first.

FOREVER THE WORD OF GOD IS SETTLED IN HEAVEN

Dearly beloved,

                                            FOREVER , THE WORD OF THE LORD IS SETTLED

Psalm 119:89  says Forever, O Lord,. Your word [n]is settled in heaven. This tells us that we can take His word  to the Bank. We can trust His word concerning any aspect of our lives.  Moses and the children of Israel did this in the Book of Deuteronomy  2:24, God told them’  ‘Rise, take your journey, and cross over the River Arnon. Look, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin [i]to possess it, and engage him in battle.  It is amazing how God always speaks of our inheritances in past tense. He told them that He had given them the land.  In 1 Peter 2:24 we read’---  who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose [g]stripes you were healed.   This is also written in past tense. That means the action has been concluded.  We are to act as the Israelites did in Deut 2. Based on the word they got from the Lord, when Sihon the Amorite came against them, these people who were just out of Egypt and had no fighting experience went and faced the enemy and defeated him. They had the assurance of God’s word- Deut. 2 31-36.

The New Testament Christian has weapons that surpasses that of the Israelites in Deut. 2.

These weapons include but are not limited to the following:

• Absolute assurance of Victory in your Health based on the word’ By whose stripes you were healed’- James 1: 7-8.  The doubtful does not  impress God.

• We must fight with the word that we have taken time to study and meditate on

• Prayer of faith with absolute assurance that God is Faithful to HEAL. - James 5:13

• Walking in love. Faith in God walks by love- Gal 5:6. Offence opens the door to the enemy.  You want to stay healthy, refuse to entertain offence.

• Walk in Joy. Isaiah 12:3 says’ Therefore with joy you will draw water
  From the wells of salvation. Several God-fearing believers   have allowed themselves to be victims of sickness as they open the door through complaining and murmuring. The wise believer will shut the door to these versions of ‘Sihon” and “Og”.  Be deliberate in your walk in JOY. Do not let anything steal your joy. It is a trap of the devil.

A whole nation- six hundred-thousand-foot soldiers not counting women and children came out of Egypt, and the bible records in Psalm 105:37-38 that there was no one feeble (weak, sickly among them). We have a better covenant as New Testament believers. Do not let the enemy cheat you out of your inheritance of PERFECT WHOLENESS.

I therefore curse every and any form of Health concerns affecting  you NOW  in JESUS GREAT NAME. Amen

LIVING BY FAITH PLEASES GOD

Dearly beloved,

Hebrews 11:6 says  6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Let me do some highlighting here. This verse says

• It is IMPOSSIBLE to please God, if we  do not do it by Faith. That is believing God’s promises and using them to affect your actions  despite prevailing circumstances that may be contradictory.  Do you, therefore want to Please God? The only way is to live by Faith.

• When we come to God, with our needs and requests, we must believe the He is !!!. He is what? He is Holy, Faithful, healer, deliverer, Helper, Wisdom, answers prayers that is in His will. We must come to Him believing that if our request is in His will, He is able to confirm His word. – James 1:6

• When we come to him, we must believe that He rewards our seeking for Him. Seeking means deep searching. As we take time to intentionally search out His will, His desires, His promise is  to reward us, NOT punish us.

So, no believer should live unsure of the future. Unsure of how God will respond to that situation. We may not know how, but we can be sure that if your desire is covered in your redemption package, you will receive an answer of PEACE.

However, as we come to Him, we MUST believe Him that He is, and we will be rewarded. When we approach Him with that assurance, we please Him.

Believing God means you cut off all plan Bs.

Do you want to overcome, in every area of your life. In this kingdom, the only way is BY FAITH  in God’s word, God’s ways, God’s wisdom. 1 John 5:4 says

 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—[a]our faith.

Faith is shown by what we do. When you find out what God wants you to do, or what God have said concerning a matter through His word, you believe it. You obey it, you work with it, you say it. As you do that, your faith grows. The Bible says in Heb 11:2 “—the ancients obtained a good report’.  It is one of our many spiritual laws. If you walk by Faith, the God kind of Faith and you will OBTAIN a good report.

SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD 

THE SECRET OF THE CHRISTIAN SUCCESS?

SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD-THE SECRET OF THE CHRISTIAN SUCCESS

God knows we will need things. He is our heavenly father.  Every good and responsible Father knows that his son or daughter needs clothing, food, encouragements etc.  He makes provision for it, sometimes even before the child asks for one.  No earthly father can compare with our Heavenly Father.  Throughout the Bible God tells us He will take excellent care for his Children.  In Matt 6: 24-34   especially, God said we cannot serve two masters.  If we are his Children, He says we should not run after things the way unbelievers (Gentiles) do. He says in Verse 31-32 31’ So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’ 

How do we seek FIRST his kingdom and his righteousness?  What does to’ seek’ mean? It means to intensively and intentionally search out what God wants, what will cause His Kingdom to increase. This includes the following

• Be intentional about spending quality time with Him in the study of word and prayer

• Ensuring that we represent Him wherever we are, knowing that we are His ambassadors

• Sharing His good news to everyone. He told us to go out and tell everyone about His Kingdom

We have the Example of Papa Abraham and the Apostles. In Genesis 12, we see that whenever Papa Abraham got to where God told him to go, Canaan, he always built an altar. An altar meant that he was establishing where his allegiance was, who he obeyed. It did not matter that he lived among heathens, people who did not fear God.

God is expecting us to do the same.  Serving Him by obeying Him despite the community we find ourselves in. Refusing to think the way the world thinks. Refusing to act the way the way the world acts. Refusing to see as important what the world sees as important. We should go spread the goodness of this Kingdom we belong to. Make evangelism your heartbeat. It is a spiritual law that as we prioritize His Kingdom, every other thing, the house, the money, the job, the health etc and many more will be added. Do not run after things like the world does. Run after the things that please God and see God make you a wonder to your world. 

If you are not yet a member of this Kingdom, or you are not sure you are? It is time to be sure. Only then can you really enjoy the benefits of the Kingdom.

GODLY FATHER HOOD

Dearly beloved,

                                                   GODLY  FATHERHOOD

HAPPY FATHERS DAY  to all our wonderful  and blessed Fathers in the House.

As we celebrate this year’s Father’s day, I see Grace being delivered to all our Fathers and would-be Fathers  to be the Dad that pleases God in Jesus Great Name, Amen.

Hebrews  6: 12  encourages us   that you do not become [e]sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises .This would also mean that we should not give up, but be imitators of people who obtained the Promises of God. One such example is Papa Abraham. He was not perfect; he made some errors, but he was steadfast in his walk with God.

God said concerning Abraham in Genesis 18:19  For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him. 

We can do some deduction from this one verse

• God had taken note of his Fatherhood activities. He saw how that even though Abraham was in a pagan land,  he faithfully encouraged his family to fear God.

• Abraham lived an example that his family could follow after

• He directed  them to follow righteousness and justice- do what is right always 

• God was going to fulfill His promises and bring  Abraham to a closer walk  with Him(God) because of  how Abraham handled His household.

A number of Fathers suffer all kinds of hardship from the enemy because of  their neglect  of their families. Mal 2: 13-15

Verse 15 says ‘ 15 But did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.

God was speaking directly to Fathers here. Please read it.  

Receive Grace and the help of God to  be the Father that will please God.  The reward  being that you are a co laborer with God in bringing out godly Seed. Papa Abraham did. Isaac  was an obedient son. Jesus our Lord came out  the loins of Abraham.

I see Grace being delivered to all Fathers who desire this Grace in Jesus Great Name. Amen.

Welcome to the Month of June, the last month of the first half of the year 2024. The 

   Psalmist says in Psalm 34:1 says I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. This tells me that David was saying, things may not be now as I expect, but I make a decision to praise the Lord.  Psalm 22;3 says’ But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.  Our God who dwells in unapproachable light (1Tim 6:16) dwells also in the praises of His people.
There are , however, hindrances that  could adulterate or hinder our praise from being effective in attracting God’s presence. These hindrances include the following:

• Unforgiveness: This has continued to be a trap among Christians.   Attempting to praise God while having unforgiveness in our hearts is highly hypocritical and will  not attract God’s presence. Ephesians 4:32 says ´ 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.  Do you have any trace of carried over anger or unforgiveness, it is a trap of the devil. Receive Grace to drop it in Jesus Great Name.

• Strife:  This is contention, bitterness, undercurrent anger.  James 3: 16 says’ 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. Living in strife shortchanges the believer. He does not enjoy the presence of God.

• Comparing yourself with others: - 2 Corinthians 10:12b says” --- but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.  This action will not make us see what God is doing, and so the believer does not see what God is doing. For this reason, praise is not   from the heart, and therefore does not yield results.

These are some of many vices that we must actively fight against by the help of the Holy Ghost. The good news is that Help is always available, As we intentionally ask God for His help, He gives Grace   to walk genuinely in Love, forgive quickly and easily, see around us what God is doing and not how our neighbor seems  more blessed than us. As we put these to work, PRAISE will become effortless, and we will see ourselves always enjoying His presence.

AS GOD'S CHIDREN IMITATE HIM

                                       AS GOD’S CHILDREN, IMITATE HIM

 As we continue our study on the Book of Ephesians, we see Apostle Paul telling  the church in Ephesus, just  as he tells us  today in verse 1’  Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.  God expects us to imitate Him, not the world, not the latest Hollywood actor, but Him. That is if we say He is our Father.  Paul was writing to the church in Ephesus. In Acts 19, we have a good idea of the state of Ephesus, they served the goddess Diana. That city was ridden in idolatry.  This was a church coming up in an idolatrous community. Paul said to them, do not live like they do, imitate God now that you call Him your Father. From verses 3-5 Paul continues’  But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For [a]this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.  In chapters 1-3 Paul reminds us, believers of who we are, telling us that we are no more strangers to the covenant. Chapter 2:19 says’  Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.  Chapter 3: 10-11 says ‘ God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 11 This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now, God will be unjust to tell us that the fornicator and others in this category will have no inheritance in His kingdom. He says this because we have been fully equipped to go to Him for a solution and not to the world.

In our world today, there is an epidermic of immorality. Fornication and adultery are almost a culture. Using a short court to beat the system seems like a smart move. Filthy, faithless, brash, and idle speaking seems to be acceptable.  God has a different standard.

We have what it takes to live like our father in our world today. Receive Grace from now to walk out of any form of uncleanliness. Take fresh Grace to live Holy like God your Father. Contact us for all your prayer and counselling needs. God hears and answers us when we pray.

Dearly beloved,

I visited the emergency department of one of our hospitals recently and saw in full terms the extent to which sicknesses are ravaging our world. This is in a developed nation where they pride themselves with scientific advancement.  They confessed that they had limited Doctors. Even then, Doctors do not heal. Doctors need help themselves.

Ephesians 1 : 3 – says ‘  All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us withw every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. 

2 Peter 1:4 says ‘ And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

A close look at these passages tells us that these promises are in the past tense. God has concluded His part. HALELUYAH.

So why are we living unhealthy lives, why do we expect and accept sicknesses. A few reasons include the following-

• The child of God is ignorant of his inheritances which includes healing- Hos 4:6

•  God’s people believe more of what they see, hear, feel more than they do God’s word. Romans 8:6-11

• God’s people are not actively resisting Satan using God’s word, evidence of absolute belief in God’s word. James 4:7

• God’s people   are not active in their pursuit for God’s perfect will concerning His health provision in their lives.

We need to have a holy anger against anything that wants to negate the promises of God in our lives. Also, when we study God’s word actively, we will see the natural and Spiritual laws we must live by to attain and enjoy the health inheritance that God has ALREADY provided for members of His family through Christ Jesus our Lord. Divine Health has been provided for us. Begin to walk in it from this day in Jesus great Name. Amen.

I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES

                                                I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES

Psalm 34:1 says’ I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth’. This is David making a statement of commitment, a statement of intentionality.  He knew the benefit of blessing the Lord. 

Thanksgiving is one of the divine mysteries in this Kingdom that we belong to.  Divine mysteries are hidden truths. Hidden from the world for the believer.  It is, therefore, not popular but it is a divine strategy, for anyone who wants to get out of an unpleasant situation. 

Let’s look at a couple of examples from our Lord Jesus.

• In John 11:41- here we see Jesus faced with a dead situation. His friend Lazarus has been dead for 4 days. Jesus gave thanks. And Lazarus came back to life. He is our perfect example.  

• In John 6:11, we see Jesus giving thanks on five loaves and two fishes- a little boy’s lunch. This was to feed five thousand men, not including women and children.   By thanking God, the five loaves multiplied, fed the multitude, and had leftovers. Waooo.  Let us learn this mystery.

On the other hand, God dealt severely with murmurers and complainers. In Numbers 11:1 we read’ Now when the people complained, it displeased the Lord; for the Lord heard it, and His anger was aroused. So the fire of the Lord burned among them, and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp  and in Verse 10 we read’Then Moses heard the people weeping throughout their families, everyone at the door of his tent; and the anger of the Lord was greatly aroused; Moses also was displeased.’ 

The Lord provided meat for them but see what God did in verse 33” But while the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of the Lord was aroused against the people, and the Lord struck the people with a very great plague.

We therefore have great examples to follow when we are faced with not so good situations and we desire to get out of them. We can say like David’ I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise will always be in my mouth, because I know everything is working for my good.

Receive Grace to praise Him always as a lifestyle in Jesus Great Name. Amen

OPERATING IN THE MANY-SIDED WISDOM OF GOD?

                          OPERATING IN THE MANY-SIDED WISDOM OF GOD

A happy new Month to this great family of God. The New Dawn family.

As we continue our study of the book of Ephesians, we see some great revelations in this book. In Ephesians 3 we read of Paul speaking by the Spirit that there is a mystery (secret) hidden by God  from the world for us the church.  Verses 9-10 says’ and to make plain [to everyone] the plan of the mystery [regarding the uniting of believing Jews and Gentiles into one body] which [until now] was kept hidden through the ages in [the mind of] God who created all things. 10 So now through the church the multifaceted wisdom of God [in all its countless aspects] might now be made known [revealing the mystery] to the [angelic] rulers and authorities in the heavenly places”. Waoo what a great inheritance. God’s plan was that the Jews and the Gentiles(us) will make up one body, ‘the Church”. Through the church God will give His wisdom so that we will so excel that even angelic bodies will be surprised at the display of this wisdom. Waoooo.

There is a wisdom bank kept by God for us to handle every situation that comes across our way. If we look intently at God’s word we will see it. If we believe it, work on it, we will see results that will make us a wonder to our world and Jesus will be glorified.

Some nuggets of this wisdom- hidden from the world but given to the church.

• Laziness is forbidden in the kingdom- Prov 6:6-8

• Wise saving for the future is encouraged- Prov 6:6-8

• Waste is forbidden Matthew 14:20

• Resting at least one day a week is a covenant- Lev 25

•  Wasteful borrowing is discouraged in scripture- Prov 22:7

I could go on and on. The Bible is God’s wisdom to us, affecting every area of our lives. This wisdom is called the ‘MANY SIDED WISDOM or the MULTIFACETED WISDOM”. Ask God for it today. There is a God- way of handling that matter before you. Never say’ I have tried everything, and things are not working”. When you speak this way, you make God a liar, and He is NOT A LIAR. Humble yourself and ask Him what the way is out of this situation. Look at the word and you will hear a voice behind you saying, turn to the right or the left- Isaiah 30:21. But we need to tune our ears to hear Him. I see you walking in unusual wisdom this month in Jesus great Name. Amen.

AND YOU, HE MADE ALIVE.

  Beloved Brethren,                                  

 We were dead and hopeless. We were under the domain of the Prince of the power of the air. We followed how the world   thinks, talk, acted.  We fell sick the way the world fell sick. We expected to be sick the way the world expects to be sick. The world is under the governing authority of the Prince of the power of the air. He dictates, those who  still live there,- the careless, the unbelieving still  follow his dictates. Ephesians 2 :3 says 

‘’Among these we as well as you once lived and conducted ourselves in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by our corrupt and sensual nature], obeying the impulses of the flesh and the thoughts of the mind [our cravings dictated by our senses and our dark imaginings]. We were then by nature children of [God’s] wrath and heirs of [His] indignation, like the rest of mankind.’  What a horrible and sorry state.

Here is the good news, Verse 4 says’ 4 But God—so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,

5 Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved ([a]delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation).

We are now, by redemption, partakers of His Salvation (Greek word is Sozo which means save, heal, make whole, deliver). It remains for us to renew our thinking. We will achieve this as we pay attention to His word. We do not have to accept sickness at all. Anytime you feel or see sickness coming your way, in your body, in your loved ones, quickly remind the devil that he has no right over you and yours. We are no longer under the domain of the prince of the power of the air. We belong to another Kingdom, another higher and better dominion. Sickness does not, cannot dwell here.  Believe it, be bold to say it, act on it.  Remember that  you are raised up and are jointly seated with  Jesus is heavenly places- Vs 6.

Being Born again is the first requirement into this glorious family of God.

You are healed and made whole in Jesus Christ Name.

BE CAREFUL FOR NOTHING

                                     BE CAREFUL ABOUT NOTHING

 Philippians 4:4-8 says” Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!

5 Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is [a]coming soon].

6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition ([b]definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.

7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that [c]tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall [d]garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]’.

Now this admonition and command comes to us by the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul who was in prison at this time. He was in put in prison on account of the Gospel and from there was telling the church in Phillipi not to fret or be anxious about anything. This is so needed in the times we are in.

We fret about everything and anything. We (believers) even think that considering the times that we are in, it is okay to worry about stuff. I mean, there are problems everywhere.  Bills are increasing, I need accommodation, I need a job, the Government policies are not favorable, my relationship is in shambles, who do I marry??? The list goes on.  Paul is telling us here by the Spirit of God that it is not ok to worry. Worry and anxiety is a display of our faithlessness. And without Faith we CANNOT please God. Heb 11:6.

Confess your worry as sin to God. Pray about your needs and thank God intentionally for answered prayers. Whenever your mind goes to the worry lane, bring it back to the FAITH lane by fixing your mind, thoughts on the promises of God. Speak them out. That is the only way to please God. When we please Him, He handles our situation. The truth is God have already made provision for every challenge. You can only assess this solution by absolute Faith and Trust in Him.

WOMAN, WHY ARE YOU WEEPING?

Dearly Beloved,

             As we continue to celebrate this resurrection season, I want to remind us that a major benefit of the resurrection of our Lord is to wipe away those secret tears of pain, hopelessness, helplessness, fear of the future or whatever causes God’s children to weep. In John 20 !-18, we read about how Mary from Magdala went in the early hours of the morning , seemingly to anoint the body of Jesus, only to find out that the body was no more in the tomb.  

This was the greatest glorious news, but she did not know it at the time.  She was confused and perplexed. This has never happened before. How can a dead body not be in the tomb? The previous night, she had followed closely to see where her Lord would be buried. In her natural brain, she had it all figured out. Suddenly nothing seemed to make sense. She went and called the Apostles. They should know what is going on, she thought. What she did not know was that the Apostles were more confused.  They had no solution. Verse 8 says,  For as yet they did not [b]know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead’.  Mary was weeping. This was her Lord, the one who had loved her and treated her with dignity.  She looked into the tomb, to check again. This time she saw two angels asking her “Dear woman, why are you weeping?’. She responded, based on what she could see in the natural. She turned to leave and saw the solution right in front of her but thought He was the gardener. She was blinded by her tears. Jesus had to call her in the way only He can. He also asked her " Why are you weeping?”

He is asking us the same question, ‘ Why do we weep? Why do we allow the world and its systems to make us shed secret tears? Why, why?  It is because we have not yet allowed   ourselves to really know the scripture.

Among other things, the resurrection of our Lord assures us of the following:

• It authenticates our preaching of God’s word.-1 Cor 15 :14

• It validates our Faith in the Word. 1 Cor 15:14

• We have the assurance that our sins are forgiven. 1 Cor 15:16

• We have the hope of eternal life. 1 Cor 15:19

• We know for sure that we will rise again. 1 Cor 15:29

These are just a few. We can take God's word on any matter, believe it and work with it. We can have the assurance that there will be an answer of PEACE. So why the secret tears?

TODAY, as we continue to enjoy various proofs of His resurrection I speak PEACE in every area of our lives in Jesus Great Amen.

Continue to declare to yourself and around you that the resurrection power of our Lord Jesus is at work and changing situations for the best in Jesus' Great Name.

THE REWARD OF FAITHFULNESS

Dearly Beloved,

             The Oxford dictionary describes   Faithfulness as ‘unfailingly remaining loyal to someone or something, and putting that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of extenuating circumstances’ Extenuating circumstances mean having justifying reasons to quit. Other words that describe faithfulness are, constant, staunch, loyal, devoted. Phill 2:1-11 tells us about our Lord and Savior. He is our perfect example of Faithfulness.

The Bible says in Verses 8-11 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Our Lord was faithful to us unto the death of the cross. He has called us His followers to be faithful in trusting Him, in living every day to please Him.

Sometimes the reward of Faithfulness is not immediately seen. You may need to do something for a long time before you begin to enjoy the reward.  But if you could see it in the Bible, If God said it, then you can take that to the Bank and stay faithful.

He told us in Revelation 2:10’ 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

God is calling us to look at the reward He promises us and stay faithful in prayer, in the study of the word, in speaking the word, in our every good work, in our families, in our church attendance, in living by Faith.

The reason we celebrate Easter is because our Lord was faithful to us until the death of the cross.

Receive Grace this Easter season to be a faithful follower of Christ. It is required that a steward be FAITHFUL. 1 Cor 4:2

Come join us as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ this Sunday.

I WILL PRAISE THE LORD AT ALL TIMES

                 Psalm 34:1 says, I will bless the Lord at all times;. His praise shall continually be in my mouth’. Now David did not write this when he was in his palace. He wrote it when he was running for his life from King Saul. He was a fugitive in his own country even though he has been anointed as king by the greatest prophet (Samuel) that Israel ever had. In 1 Samuel 21: 10-15 we read

10 Then David arose and fled that day from before Saul and went to Achish the king of Gath. 11 And the servants of Achish said to him, “Is this not David the king of the land? Did they not sing of him to one another in dances, saying: ‘Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands'?” 12 Now David took these words [d]to heart, and was very much afraid of Achish the king of Gath. 13 So he changed his behavior before them, pretended [e]madness in their hands, [f]scratched on the doors of the gate, and let his saliva fall down on his beard. 14 Then Achish said to his servants, “Look, you see the man is insane. Why have you brought him to me? 15 Have I need of madmen, that you have brought this fellow to play the madman in my presence? Shall this fellow come into my house?”

He was at the lowest place of his life. His life was in grave danger. In that situation He chose to trust God. The whole of Psalm 34 is him vocalizing his trust in God.

Where are you at this time? Murmuring and complaining will not solve the problem.  Verse 17 says the righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.  Cry out to God in faith and absolute trust. The Lord promises to deliver us from ALL OUR TROUBLES.

The Word is a Seed

Dearly Beloved,

Jesus was teaching us in Mark 4: 26-29, He said ‘ 26And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should [f]scatter seed on the ground, 27 and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. 28 For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. 29 But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”    Earlier in verse 14, He told us ‘The sower sows the word’.

So the Word of God is the seed.  If a farmer naturally wants to eat Corn, for example, He would need to plant it. God is telling us here that if we want Healing for instance, we plant the word pertaining Healing in our hearts. If you want wisdom, you plant the seed.  The farmer prepares the ground, waters it, then plants. After planting, He nurtures it, takes away the weed, and adds fertilizer. He protects the seed in the ground. Before you know it, a huge plant or tree is growing up.  

This is the scriptural way to get and sustain your miracle. Take His promise of that matter of concern, plant it in your heart. Weed out all contrary words and opinions of men. Keep watering it by speaking words of Faith. Declare that God’s word rules. Isaiah 55:11 says ’So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me [c]void, But it shall accomplish what I please.

BRETHREN, GOD’S WORD CANNOT FAIL.

Revelation 5:12 says 2 saying with a loud voice:

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”.  Jesus died to give us all these mentioned and more. However, we can only enjoy them when we take time to PLANT the word in our heart.  The farmer who wants to get a harvest of Apples cannot get it through a short court. He must go through the process of planting. He will then enjoy the HARVEST. You and I  will not lose  our harvest in Jesus' great Name. Amen.

Healing Banquet - The Glories of Zion

The New Testament Church, the called out one, is  Zion. Zion is where God dwells. Heb. 12:22-23a says 22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the [j]general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven---‘  

Psalm 132: 13-15 says For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His [d]dwelling place: 14 “This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it. 15 I will abundantly bless her [e]provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread’. If you are a member of the Church of God’ God dwells within you and amongst us. Ephesians 3:14-15 says  For this reason I bow my knees to the Father [f]of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named’,

God is the Father of His family (ZION). He has promised to dwell there and meet every need. He only desires that we believe that He is capable and ever willing to do that.

Psalms 87 gives us another vivid description of the Glories of Zion.

• God loves it when His children come together Vs 1

• He prefers it to when we are in our individual homes- Vs 1

• God speaks of glorious things, His great plans for His people. -Vs 3

• Everyone and anyone are qualified to join into this family- Vs 4

• God is committed to establishing His people- Vs 5

• God has a register that has the name of every one of us- Hallelujah-Vs 6

• In Zion, In God presence- is the spring (the source) of life.

Again, Isaiah 33:24 says, ‘And the inhabitant will not say, “I am sick”; The people who dwell in it will be forgiven their iniquity.’

God says those who dwell in His presence WILL NOT SAY ‘I AM SICK.  In verse 14, He says the sinners and hypocrites- Those who say they are Christians but will not believe God or are Hypocrites will live in fear. Do not be that person.

God has His register. Your name is written there and beside it is written WHOLE, HEALED, BLESSED. Refuse to accept any other alternative.

God Answers Covenant Prayers!

Dearly Beloved,

As we continue in our 50 days prayer and fasting, I believe God will have us reaffirm that our God answers prayers. Praying is a part of the new covenant we have with God.  John 14: 13-14 says ‘  And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you [c]ask anything in My name, I will do it. That is a covenant.  However, why do some prayers seem unanswered? Does God answer all kinds of prayers? I will attempt to give some recipes for the kind of prayers that God will answer. This is, however, by no means exhaustive.

• God must be your Father- Matt 6:9. If you are not sure. Make that right with God by accepting Jesus as Lord.  Covenant prayer is children communicating with their heavenly Father.

• Pray the word. Pray God’s will on the matter 1 John 5:14. So take out your Bible and find out God’s will on the matter.

• Pray expectantly, being convinced that God will answer- 1 Kings 18: 41-45

• Pray believing God’s word on the matter

• Let the expansion of God’s Kingdom be your motive. Ask God to help you with your motive- Matt 6:10, 1 Samuel 1:12

• Pray until your Joy is full-John 16:24

• Pray without rancor or bitterness- 1 Timothy 2:8, James 5:13-18

Prayer is the life wire of the Believer. Fasting helps our Prayer life as we stay focused on God, listening and communicating with Him. You are not thinking of food, cooking etc.

This is not a period to take with levity. Search the scriptures, bring out your concerns and stand confidently in prayer. God promises to answer.

Zech 12: 10a says ‘And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication.

When you feel overwhelmed, and prayer seems like a burden, ask God for the Spirit of Prayer. Do not give in to despair or hopelessness or Fear. Cry out for help. The Holy Spirit will come in to help your weaknesses Rom 8: 26-27.

Faith that pleases God

Dearly Beloved,

Hebrews 11:1-2 says’ Now faith is the [a]substance of things hoped for, the [b]evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. This is a common scripture. Faith is not emptiness, it is not wishful thinking or hope, it is a tangible substance. The substance is the tangibility of God’s word. That God said it is the evidence you need that God will do it. We please God when we believe His word and use it as evidence.  Verse 6 says’  But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

The elders obtained a good report because they believed God, even though they initially did not see any physical evidence.  For example, it is said of Papa Abraham in verses 8-10’ By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. In Romans 4: 19-20 says and not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.

He believed God, even though there was not yet physical evidence, He started giving Glory to God. He trusted God’s word- DO YOU?? If you did, even when there is not yet physical evidence, you will be like Abraham. You will give God Glory for that concern. Find out what God says about your situation, read it, believe it, speak it out and GIVE GOD GLORY for His word on that matter. That is how it works in the Kingdom. Abraham did that. God was impressed and called Abraham righteous. Before long Isaac came along. As you begin to praise God, your Isaac will show up, in Jesus' great Name. Amen. Believing God means obeying Him. The two must go together- Faith without works is dead. -James 2:17

                                                                        THIS ONE THING

As we continue into this glorious year of 2024, there is only one  God proven way for  the child of God to fulfill his/her God given agenda.  Psalm 27: 4-6 says  The one thing I ask of the Lord—     the thing I seek most is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections     and meditating in his Temple. 5 For he will conceal me there when troubles come;  he will hide me in his sanctuary.   He will place me out of reach on a high rock.   6 Then I will hold my head high     above my enemies who surround me.

The psalmist says, he desires ONE THING  from the Lord. He did not ask for chariots, power or whatever was a concern in those days. He asked that God gives Him a desire to live in His presence. He wanted to take delight in seeking God’s face, he wanted to spend time meditating on God’s word.  He knew that, if he pursued this one thing, every other thing would fall in place. For example, he says:

• God will hide Him from trouble- Vs 5

• God will protect Him. The word of God will keep Him Safe-Vs 5

• He will be divinely repositioned Vs 5c.

• He will have victory over all His enemies- Vs 6

It is amazing how  we allow  ourselves  to run after other things. God’s word says – BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING-Phill 4:6-7

God is telling us here, through David, to genuinely give Him priority.  We are to do this forever, not until we get the next miracle.  

 Join me in making a commitment to stay in His presence more that we have done in previous years.  Make a commitment to take delight in Him. Learn to praise and dance before Him.  Make a commitment to inquire, to ask Him before you take the next step, make a commitment to do this for ever.  When we live this way genuinely, it shows that we love Him.  And 1 Cor 2:9 says  That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,’ No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared     for those who love him.”[d]

                                               THE FAST THAT GOD CHOOSES

The year has begun. The word of prophecies has gone ahead. God’s plan for whosoever that believes is  for the year  to deliver everything that has been said. And it will. But we have a part to play.  There are giants in the land that must be dislodged before we claim our inheritance. This will require some spiritual exercise on our part. The Bible says, spiritual exercise is profitable in all things, 1 Tim 4:8.

50 days FAST has been declared. Regularly, in scriptures we see God calling out His people for a fast. However, as in all exercises, if it must be effective, it must be done in such a way that it is accepted by God.  In Isaiah 58, God talks about the fast that is acceptable.

The acceptable fast must

• Be done in Faith – Rom 14:23

• There must be genuine repentance- Isaiah 58: 1-2,5.

• Devoid of strife and contentions-Isaiah 58:4

• Must do away with all kinds of wickedness- Isaiah 58:4

• There must be no hypocrisy- Isaiah 58:5, 7

When we fast acceptably, we enjoy the benefits. These benefits include:

• Your salvation (healing, deliverance, joy, peace) will come quickly- Isaiah 58:8

• Every wound will be healed- Is 58:8

• Your relationship with God will be enhanced- Is 58:8

• You will enjoy unusual protection from God.

• Your answers to prayers will come speedily-Isa 58:9

• Every yoke of the enemy will be destroyed- Isa 58:9

• You will get explosive revelation knowledge- Isa 58:10

• You will enjoy divine guidance- Is 58:11

• Your strength will be restored and renewed- Isa 58:11

• Your life will be ever fresh even in hard times – Isa 58:11

• God will use you to solve generational concerns- Isa 58:12 

These are just some of the benefits. Receive Grace to take Dominion over your belly this season. It is a time of staying with God as you search out for answers from His word on issues of concern. Before this fast is ended I see God taking you and I to a higher level with Him. This year’s fasting commences on Thursday January 11 to March 1st, 2024.  Join in and receive every inheritance that has your name tag on it.

 WELCOME TO YEAR 2024, OUR YEAR OF DIVINE REPOSITIONING

Welcome to this great year of the LORD, 2024. It has been declared as the year of leaps and bounds. A year where God will cause great progress to be made through spiritual insight and  divine repositioning.  Isaiah 60:2 says For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.’ This is a divine agenda. Darkness means  the place where Satan rules. It means hardship, sickness, plagues. Romans 1:30 says people will be inventors of evil. So, we will see evil escalating, but God has another divine agenda for His chosen people. These are those who will get into the Ark He has provided.  These are those who has and will continue to make Jesus LORD of their lives.  The Greek word for LORD is Kurios which means ‘Supreme in authority’. It means ‘ownership’. As supreme authority we are expected to relinquish everything about our lives to Jesus. There is no middle ground. Luke 6:46 says “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Our rescue from the devastation that the world will see is to reposition ourselves by not just calling Jesus, LORD but obeying Him.   This means that we see everything through the lens of God’s word. We make a definite choice to walk in reverential fear of the Lord. We do not live as if we own our lives, we defer to Him on all matters.  We do not act like King Saul who was partially obedient to God’s command.  God called Saul rebellious. (1 Sam 15:11) We take Grace to love His word, believe it and obey it with delight. Psalm 119:97 says Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. May this be the confession of every one believer for this year and beyond in Jesus Name. Amen.  

When we do this, our light will shine in a dark world. Then all the blessings listed will come to us. The good news is that, throughout this year and beyond, we have the HELPER (John 15:26-27).He will help us through any difficult situation. We will never be alone; He promises to always be there as we continue to love and fear Him. 

It is a leap year. We go through the year in LEAPS. Living in total OBEDIENCE to Jesus the Lord of Lords is the key. WHATEVER HE SAYS TO YOU THROUGH THIS YEAR, DO IT-John 2:5.

                                                              CHRISTMAS SERIES 2 

                                                             THE  GIFT OF A SON

Isaiah 9:6-7 says

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Jesus is a gift from God to us.  Galatians 1:4 confirms this, it says 4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
We would have continued to be a victim of Satan’s wickedness if not for the gift of a son. We do, however, have the responsibility to receive this gift, unwrap the gift and honor the gift.  We have a tragical example of King Asa in 2 Chronicles 14, 15 and 16. He started well, doing what God wanted the Kings to do. He initially trusted God and commanded Israel to seek the Lord, so the Land enjoyed rest.  In Chapter 15 he brought about a reformation in the land and listened to the Prophet Azariah. However, when we get to chapter 16, he became self-sufficient. He would not even take corrections from the prophet Hanani who brought the gift of the word to him.  Verse 39 says  And in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa became diseased in his feet, and his malady was severe; yet in his disease he did not seek the Lord, but the physicians.

This is a pathetic situation; He did not seek the Lord who has provided all things for Him.  The wise men came to seek Jesus. (Matt 2:1) Let us not be carried away by all the funfair connected to this season, Christians know better. The Gift of the son when properly received will affect every area of our lives. He brings salvation, healing for our bodies and souls. He is our wonderful counsellor----- read verse 7 again. We also have the assurance that this Government of our Lord Jesus which He came to give us shall not end. There is no end to the benefits of the Gift of Jesus.  You can take this to the Bank. FOR UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN.

                                          CHRISTMAS SERIES 1

                        WHY WE CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF OUR KING JESUS

Calvary’s greetings. It is a season of JOY unspeakable as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, A popular Christmas song says it is the most beautiful time of the year. Indeed, for the Child of God, it is a time to remember and celebrate why He came. 

In Luke Chapter 1: 67 -79 we see Zachariah ( the father of John the Baptist) prophesying and joyfully   telling  us, why Jesus came. I must mention that Zachariah’s prophecy is just one of the very numerous  prophecies  about the birth of our Lord and Savior  Jesus Christ. 

Jesus had to come as the second Adam to restore to us what the first Adam lost, our dominion and relationship with the Father (1 Cor 15:45)

Now back to our passage:  Zachariah moved by the Spirit said.

• The LORD has visited his people and redeemed his people. Man has been delivered from the consequence of sin. Man (Adam) lost it when he disobeyed God in the garden. A man had to come get/buy back what was lost. - Vs 68

• Salvation (deliverance, healing, our eternal security) is now possible because Jesus came- Vs 69

• The birth of Jesus is our assurance that God keeps his promises and His covenant- Verse 72

• God is merciful to us- Verse 72

• His birth grants us deliverance from our enemies- Verse 74

• His birth (leading to his death and resurrection) grants us direct access to the Father. Our relationship is restored.

• His birth assures us who believe that we can serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness all the days of our lives—Verse 75

It is vital to know that these would not have been possible if Our Lord Jesus did not come as a man legally into our world. This is why the Angels sang, I BRING YOU GOOD NEWS OF GREAT JOY- Luke 2:10

Every child of God should celebrate his/her redemption. The whole world indeed have the assurance of hope  because  Jesus left His throne and came down in the likeness of man. Now anyone anywhere who calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved. This is because HE CAME. JESUS CAME and defeated Satan on our behalf. Call on Him TODAY.

      WE OWE GOD THANKS

 Again we are welcome to this glorious  month of December 2023. The month of God’s crowing glory. 

Psalm 65:11 says Our God crowns the year with His goodness, And   our paths drip with abundance. This is God’s plan and agenda for His people.  Our response is to believe His word over every contrary situation. One way to show God that we believe Him is to be genuine in our thanksgiving to Him.  Realizing how much we owe Him thanks will help us have the right kind of expectations.  We read in the book of Luke 17:11-19 that God keeps record of those who have a grateful heart. Those who recognize that every goodness received is a privilege and a gift and so be wise enough to come with a loud voice to say Thank you. Jesus said in  verses 17-18 ‘17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” Have you taken time out to be intentional to thank God  for the gift of life to you since the beginning of this year? Or are you looking at what is not there? Most probably the other nine lepers saw that the effects of the leprosy were still seen, they therefore, did not think it was worthwhile going to thank God for being healed. Maybe they also thought that they were Jews so healing was their right.  In this Kingdom, we do not claim rights, we are only enjoying His Grace.  Life is a gift. His breadth in us is a gift. Living is a gift and privilege. When we understand this, murmuring will cease, comparing ourselves with the Jones’s will cease. Then we will learn to be genuinely thankful for any goodness we see around us.  Being genuinely thankful opens us up for a perfection of God’s blessings. Verse 19 says, Jesus told this Samaritan’ And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”  He was made whole. Despite the remaining evidences of leprosy, He came to give thanks.  The reward for that was that he was made whole.  Perfection only comes on the platform of thanksgiving.  In fact, God says in Malachi 2:1-2 And now, O priests, this commandment is for you. 2 If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name,” “I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart. This is how serious God takes thanksgiving.  We will walk wisely. We will be deliberate in giving Him thanks as we take time to count His blessings in our lives. A good place to start is his breadth in our nostrils. Make thanksgiving your lifestyle and see God continuously perfecting all the concerns you. As a church WE GIVE GOD PRAISE. HE HAS BEEN GOOD TO US.

                                                 THE COVENANT KEEPING GOD

We serve a God who loves us so much and relates with us by covenant. The Bible is a combination of the old and new covenant.  A covenant is a solid written agreement between at least two parties. This agreement must be sealed. In our case it is sealed by the blood of Jesus. The covenant is such that everyone involved always has a part to play. In the believers’ case, God has his part, and we always have our part to play. We, therefore, have the responsibility to find out our part of the covenant and do it.  For example, God says in 1John 1:9 ‘ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness’. So, we do not assume salvation. Our part is to confess, God’s part is to Forgive.  In 1 kings 18:1-45 we read of the Prophet Elijah. He operated in the covenant and God showed up. There was a 3year famine in the land. No rain has fallen for three years. People were literally eating up their children.  Then God told Elijah to show himself to King Ahab. Through out this year, God has supernaturally preserved his servant- Elijah. God will always preserve his own even in famine.

Elijah dared the prophets of Baal to call down fire, they could not. Elijah then took some steps. He knew His God. He knew that once he (representing the people) did what was expected, the covenant keeping God will show up. 

• He repaired the broken, torn down and defiled altar of the Lord- verse 30.

• He took twelve stones, one to represent each of the twelve tribes of Israel who had the covenant. - Verse 31. This signified a united front.

• He rebuilt the altar in the name of the Lord. - Verse 32

• He dug a trench around the altar to hold three gallons of water.

• He put wood on the altar and cut in pieces the bull for the sacrifice.

• After this the fire of God fell and burnt everything, including the extra jars of water, stones, dust wood. Everything.

The fire of God fell because someone, Elijah the Tishbite, decided to carry out Israel’s part of the covenant. When this happened, and the prophets of Baal were killed, and the people turned back to God. He (Elijah) Knew that God would certainly  send rain. He told Ahab in verse 41’ Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” 

The same applies to us. Are we experiencing famine of any kind? Ask the Holy Spirit to show you if there is a broken-down altar somewhere.  Do not assume salvation, do not go around blaming the system, your parents, your spouse, your background, your color. Instead look at the covenant.  What did God say to do in that particular situation. When you find it DO IT. Keep at it. Then having done all STAND (Eph 6:13) As sure as the moon and the sun are still in place, Jere 33:20. God who is a covenant keeping God, who answers by fire will show up on your peculiar case. PRAISE GOD.

Calvary’s greetings   

                                                          OUR HEALING CONVENANT

As we celebrate our Health covenant which  we have as a heritage. I would like to remind us of some truths concerning our inheritance. 

• Our healing has been concluded at the cross of Calvary. Isaiah 53:4-5 says ‘ Surely He has borne our [g]griefs And carried our [h]sorrows; Yet we [i]esteemed Him stricken, [j]Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded[k] for our transgressions, He was [l]bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes[m] we are healed. Notice that the word says “Surely has borne---“. That is a past tense statement.  That is the Word of God. You may now ask, so why is there sickness all around, it is because we have an enemy who wants to steal, kill, and destroy. John 10:10

• Our healing is packaged in the word of God. Proverbs 4:20-21 says My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh’. God tells us here that His word is medicine, as your daily prescription. You can take the medicine multiple times a day, there is no overdose.  You take it when the enemy comes to steal your health and you take it to stay healthy. You locate the word on any area of your life where there is a concern, and you stay on the word until your change comes.

• You must believe God’s word in your heart.  It must be settled that based on God’s word your health your health is perfected. Even if you do not see it physically yet, you will see it as you make God’s word your evidence. The woman with the issue of blood, ‘said in her heart, if I touch his garment, I shall be healed’. Matt 9:21

These are some spiritual laws that MUST be observed. We must recognize that we are always fighting from the place of VICTORY.  We have VICTORY over sin, sickness, disease, and anything the devil throws at us. HALLELUYAH.  However, faith without corresponding action is dead. Put action to your belief. Get out of that bed, quit talking sickness or defeat, run away from sin, surround yourself with God lovers, seek out, meditate, and speak God’s word. Obey it too and enjoy the divine health that God has made available for you. IT HAS BEEN FULLY PAID FOR. You are healed from the crown of your head to the sole of your feet in Jesus Great Name, Amen.

Beloved Brethren

                                  POSITIONING YOURSELF FOR THE ELEVENTH HOUR MIRACLE

In  Matthew 20:1-16 we are informed by our Lord Jesus  of how the Kingdom of God operates. It certainly does not operate like the Kingdom of this world. Its ways of operating  its reward system is different than what we are used to on this side of eternity. In the Kingdom of God, hope is never lost. The last shall be the first.  We read here that the landowner went out in the early hours, during the day, in the evening and  then at the eleventh hour. Verse 6 says  And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing [a]idle, and said to them, ‘Why have you been standing here idle all day?’ 7 They said to him, ‘Because no one hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, [b]and whatever is right you will receive.’ The bible further tells us that when it was time for payment, everyone of these workers received equal payments, so much so that the earlier workers began to complain. Any believer who still looks at things in the kingdom carnally will murmur when you see new believers being blessed. However, if we learn God’s ways, we will always be in a position for an unending flow of the miraculous. No matter how delayed, we will stay in the position where we will receive that which we desire.

These workers, even though it looked like no one would hire them, even though it looked like their case was hopeless, stayed there WAITING. What do we do while waiting for the will of God to be perfected in our lives:

• Watch in Prayer- Ps 5:3

• Agree with God on all matters, walking in love and holiness- Eph 5:2

• Imitate God in everything thing- Ephesians 5:1

• Take no part in worthless deeds of darkness Eph 5:11

•  Idleness is destructive for the believer- Eph 5: 15-17

• Never stop expecting God to show up-2 Chronicles 16:9, 

• Give thanks for everything to God our Father. He is working behind the scenes, and He can be trusted- Eph 5:20

Your eleventh hour miracle is just around the corner in Jesus great Name. Amen.

                                     JESUS IS COMING SOON, HOW DO I STAY PREPARED?

As we conclude the month of October, we are mindful to give Glory to God for His faithfulness. We are also mindful to stand with Israel, our Jewish  brothers  at this time. Psalm 122:6 says Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you. Every child of God at this time must not be complacent or nonchalant about the happenings in the Middle East. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY that God will show up. Pray also for the believers in the Palestine for God’s timely intervention.  We could go a step further and give financially. We will be blessed for it.  That should also create an awareness that we are in the last of the last days. The return of our Lord  is imminent.  He tells us in Matt 24:4-7 ‘ And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for [a]all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, [b]pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

In verse 12 Our Lord says’  And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. This is a complete picture of what is going on in today’s world.  We must guard against waxing cold at such a time like this. How do we stay on fire  for God  and His kingdom and not wax cold? First, we must  conduct  Christian walk INTENTIONALLY.

• Repent from lukewarmness and do the work you did at first- Jesus told the  church I Ephesus in Rev 2:5-  Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.

• Stay  zealous for the Lord-  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.[l] Therefore be [m]zealous and repent- Rev 3:19

• Prioritize your time of fellowship with God and the brethren- 2Tim 2: 15 says  Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  Also Hebrews 10:25 says’not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Matttew 24:13 says  But he who endures to the end shall be saved”. Endure means  to suffer patiently. We must continue to stay alert  knowing that our redemption is closer than when we first began.  Our bride groom  is coming soon. Let us  stay prepared always with eternity in view.                                                            STAYING  IN THE PLACE OF REST IN GOD

 John 10:10b says Jesus  have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Also Psalm 107:2 says Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, and 1 Peter 2 -10 says But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
These and many other scripture give us an idea of our heritage in Christ. We as believers have such a goodly heritage. This should be so rooted in our inner frame. The Christian should not be up today and down the next day.

In the third and forth chapters of Hebrews (take time to read it)  God’s rest is compared with the Children of Israel taking possession of the Promised land. This land was to be a place where all their needs would be met. Where they will be free from enemies that keep warring against them.  But they could not enter this place of rest because of their unbelief and disobedience. We suffer the same things today as believers. We can be in our promised land right here on earth. A place of abundance and Peace, a place of rest as we carry out our daily activities. We must simply trust God and obey Him.  We can do this effectively as we invest time in fellowshipping with Him.  By not allowing the distractions of our world to take us out of His presence. This is by spending quality time in prayer and the study of the word. This is what the Bible means by us laboring into His rest. Labor to know Him.  2Tim 2: 15-16 says ‘ Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and [e]idle babblings, for they will [f]increase to more ungodliness.

As we get to know Him, we trust Him more, we keep looking at His word, obeying it even if it does not seem popular, God promises us a land of REST.

Determine to ENJOY GOD. I declare God’s Peace and Rest over every aspect of your life in Jesus Great Name. Amen.

You should also be bold to declare His Peace and Rest over yourself, your household and all that concerns you.

                                            YOU SHALL SAY TO THIS MOUNTAIN BE REMOVED

This week as a church, the third week of every Month, we specially celebrate our healing covenant in the Kingdom. I felt God speaking to my spirit, that we remind ourselves regularly of the healing provision and covenant we have as his disciples. Having the world news all around us, seeing the upsurge of various kind of sicknesses and diseases, the child of God has to be intentional to remind himself/herself that even though we live in a world ravaged by all kinds of sicknesses and diseases, new birth  has  given us spiritual immunity. This Spiritual immunity will only translate into physical manifestation when we put the spiritual laws  in place. A good number of us, believers are noT doing this. We have not even taken time to find out what these spiritual laws are about. 

First and foremost in Luke 9:1-2 we read  ‘  Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. 2 He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.’ . So today, every disciple has the power to go and heal the sick. Every believing believer has the POWER of God residence in them.  You can look at the mirror and say to yourself, I have God’s POWER inside of me.  Now why does it seem that we get overwhelmed when faced with challenges in our bodies, or when our loved ones get sick? The average Christian today will act as if he/she does not have any power. How do we activate this power to yield the desired results?

Jesus told us in Mark 11 how to do this. The Bible says in Mark 11:12-14 12 Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. 13 And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His disciples heard it.

He spoke a curse to the tree because the tree was not productive. He SPOKE out His desire.  When they returned from the temple, Peter observed that the tree had withered. Jesus used the opportunity to teach them and us  today how to handle similar situations. 

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them

So there we have the Masters’ instructiions.  There is a place to pray to God, there is a place to SPEAK  directly to that leg, hand, pain, organ, joblessness, stagnation. Also  James 2:17 says ‘ Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. God expects us to move in the direction of what we believe and speak. If we say we are healed, we do not go all around acting   speaking sickness. These are just a few of the spiritual laws. Remember also, that this power was given to Disciples not  the multitude.  If you are not sure you are a disciple of Jesus Christ, and you are reading this, and if you are tired of leaving a powerless life, you can accept Jesus as Lord TODAY.                                            THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT PART 2

We continue with our study on the Person of the Holy Spirit.  In our Penultimate letter, we saw the Holy Spirit as our Helper amongst other functions He carries out. John 14: 16  17-AMP -Says ‘ And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [c]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.

There are so many functions of the Blessed Holy Spirit.  We will look at some more of His functions.  But the first thing to note is that He, the Holy Spirit lives in every Believer. At new Birth the Holy Spirit comes to indwell the believer.  So, if you are born Again, you have the Holy Spirit leaving inside you. You must believe God’s word and engage in His ministry. If you are not yet born again, and you are reading this, you will not understand what is being said. This passage says the world does not know Him. But you can rectify that now and simply ask Jesus to come into your life. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that He is Lord over your life. If you did this, CONGRATULATIONS. • The Holy Spirit in you will not speak of Himself but will speak of Jesus, the WORD.  John 16:13 says  But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future]. This means you cannot have the Holy Spirit tell you anything that is different from the living written word. 

• He will guide us into all truth.  One way He does this   is to teach us what we do not know. John  14: 26 says But the [d]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.  He is our teacher. We can call on him to teach us anything we do not know. Even what we know can be made clearer.

• He will remind us of what we have learnt from the word. He will make us know what to do by bringing out scriptures we have put inside of us. So, we must be students of the word.

• Romans 8: 11 says ‘And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you. The child of God can stand on this promise and reject any weakness, or sickness from incubating in his /her body. We are to first affirm that He lives inside us, If we truly believe this, you will live by the Spirit and anything that is Anti-Christ  in our life, health, relationships, business we will reject, taking our authority from the Word. We should call on Him. Be conscious that He lives inside you, not for a period but FOREVER.

Engage His help today in every and any area we need help with. Remember you are NEVER alone.

                                                                  JOY AS A CATALYST

I welcome you again to this great month of October. It is a month of double Grace. Grace upon Grace. 

2 Peter1:2 says ‘ Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.  This means that  the more we give ourselves to the word of God, and grow in the knowledge of the word, the more we increase  in His Grace.  One tool we need to continue to enjoy unending Grace, is JOY. The Joy of the Holy Ghost.

One dictionary definition of the word Catalyst is ‘ an agent that provokes or speeds significant change or action’.  This is so right. Do you want to speed up a positive change in your life? develop the habit of walking in JOY.   Isaiah 12: 3 says Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation. (Please read the whole chapter). Joy is the tool we need to draw from the wells- Note it says ‘wells of Salvation’.  Verse 2 of the same chapter says ‘ “Behold, God, my salvation!
I will trust and not be afraid, For the Lord God is my strength and song; Yes, He has become my salvation.”

If God is our Salvation, and all we need is in Him, then He tells us how to access everything we need – JOY is the ‘rope’ we need to draw from Him- God our Salvation. That increase you desire, the intervention in your relationship, that healing, that breakthrough in that situation can only be assessed through JOY.

In Deut 28: 47-48 shows that  God takes this extremely seriously, He tells us’ “Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, 48 therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you.  Waoo, we cannot play with depression and complaining. It is a sever risk.

Isaiah 61:3  says To [b]console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

This  is what Jesus came to do. We are not permitted to mourn in Zion.  We have been given the ‘garment ‘- An item of clothing- of praise. The ‘oil’ of Joy for mourning. This talks about intentionally choosing to wear Praise, to put on JOY. To make a CHOICE  despite prevailing circumstances  in the natural to rejoice in the Lord. As you do that, you enter into the wells of Salvation- Healings, Peace ,Job breakthrough, whatever is a concern will begin to change to a testimony- Hallelujah. Let us obey God  and do what He says. Cultivate a joyful surrounding, refuse to allow the Spirit of Heaviness.  The great news is that for the believer, you already have inside of you the Person of the Holy Ghost.  Gal 5 : 22-23 says 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [g]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law’. So there, you have no reason to walk or talk gloom. You have JOY inside of your Born again spirit. Stir up the spirit of Joy, by going through these scriptures and others, believe them, speak them, rejoice over them, let them be your reality.

                                                  THE PERSON OF THE HOLY GHOST PART 1

 The Holy Ghost, the third person of the trinity has always been. He is God. But his unique assignment was formally introduced  to us (His disciples)  in  John 14:15-18. Jesus said ‘15 If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.

16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—

17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.

18 I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.

After Three and a half years of providing, caring, and mentoring these individuals. He told them He was going away. The disciples could not comprehend  life without  Jesus.  He told them the Father would send them another comforter.  This comforter will be with  them ( and us) forever.  He will remain in us. 

If you are a believer, one who loves God and obeys Him, you have the comforter right  now living inside you.  You do not have to give in to depression, anxiety, despair of any sort. The comforter lives right inside of you.

No wonder 1 John 2:20 says

20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you[e] know all things

We have the Holy Ghost living in us.  So why do believers complain, go into depression, feel stressed like the unbelievers. We are to show forth the beauty of redemption by the way we do life.  To enjoy the ministry of the Holy Ghost,  The believer should –

• Acknowledge that He has the Holy ghost in Him

• Be delightfully obedient to the Word

• Pray in the Holy Ghost often

                                      HINDRANCES  TO POCESSING YOUR HEALING

As we continue in this blessed month of September, I want to remind us that   the complete  price for our health and wellbeing – Spirit, soul and body-1 Thess 5:23 , 1 Pt 2:24,  had been paid for by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

However, we may wonder, why am I still sick? why does it look as if God is not  responding to  my prayers  concerning my health and wellbeing.   God is Faithful. He has concluded  everything  concerning your health at calvary.  Our responsibility is to receive what has been provided. 

There are, however, there are  some hindrances that stops us from receiving that which has already been provided.

Some of these hindrances include the following:

• Unbelief- Inability to believe God and take him simply at His word is a sin before God.  Rev 21: 8 says-‘But the cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, the murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft-------- their fate is in the lake of burning  sulfur. This is the second death’

• Strife and bitterness: Offence is usually the root cause of strife and bitterness.  This opens the door to the enemy. The Child of God who wants to live a healthy  and whole life must not fall into the trap of strife and / or bitterness. James 3: 16 says-‘ For  wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition there  you will find disorder and evil of every kind.’ The child of God cannot afford bitterness or any form of offence as a result of  selfish ambition. Even if you think you are justified  in your position, you have just opened the door to the devil. He will come in with every evil work. What do you do then? Take that hurt to the Lord.  Hand it over to Him and you will be comforted. That way you block any entrance of the devil.

• Quarrelling, Jealousy-  1Cor 3; 3 says- ‘ For you are controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you leaving like people of the world?’  A Christian  who is given to quarrelling is not a good representation of Christ.  That Christian is being controlled by the flesh and those controlled by the flesh cannot please  God. – Romans 8;6-8

• Be a slave to God and enjoy the benefits of serving Him. Do not be a slave to the Devil and be his victim. Rom 6:16 says’ Don’t you realize that you become the slave of  whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave  to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to  obey God, which leads to righteous living.  A Christian can be a slave to the devil when you choose to  carry out his agenda, such as walking in unforgiveness, being involved in backbiting, etc. These subtle vices can open the door to the wicked. 

 God has already made his provision available for us. We are not to  let the enemy of our soul cheat us out of it. I see you walking free today in Jesus Great Name. Amen

I decree healing  on your whole body, spirit and Soul in Jesus great Name. Amen. Jesus Heals YOU.

                                                            PRAISE AS A WEAPON OF WAR

I welcome you to the glorious month of September. God’s word is new every day. I trust God that we will see new and awesome things this month. 

I want to remind us of an awesome weapon we have as believers that we use seldomly. Even when we do, we think we use it because we must. However, God’s word shows us differently. It is a devastating weapon against the enemy. It is one of the mysteries that God has placed in the hand of the believer.

It is the weapon of PRAISE in warfare.

We read a beautiful story in 2 Chronicles 20:1-30.  King Jehoshaphat was told that three nations were coming against him. Jehoshaphat was king of Judah, this time a very small nation. He got scared and assembled the whole nation. Everyone was involved. He cried out to God. God answered and spoke through one of the Levites there. He told them not to be afraid. He told them that they will not need to fight in this battle. He said He will fight for them.  Now that is God’s part. The amazing thing is that Jehoshaphat did not only believe God but went ahead and discussed with his counsellors. Now instead of putting forward his greatest men of war, combat soldiers, he put his choir members to lead the army. WAOOOOO. As they began to sing- The Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever’ God took over the battle. He set ambush against the enemies of God’s people. The enemies helped to kill each other completely. Awesome. King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah had a sweet victory and came into great spoils because they engaged a very strange weapon.  A few things to learn from here:

• They sought God when they heard of the enemy’s attack.

• They believed God who spoke through His servant, even when in the natural the enemies were still there.

• They began to sing and praise God joyfully amid the attack of the enemies.

• Praising God stirred up the supernatural and God set ambush against the enemies.

Brothers and Sisters, these things are written for our learning, 1 Cor 6:11. You will not achieve victory by complaining, telling everyone how hard life is or going into depression.

This is a spiritual war strategy that has never failed. Are you feeling overwhelmed by the negative news you are hearing, are you trusting God for an intervention in any area of your life, engage the weapon of PRAISE with understanding. When you do, you hand over the battle to your Father in Heaven. There is no case so complicated that He cannot uncomplicate. Let Praise be your lifestyle. Be intentional. You may not feel like it but do it because by redemption you now have access to inside information called REVELATION.

                                                          GOD OUR REFUGE

Calvary’s greetings

In Psalm 46 : 1, we read that  ‘God is our refuge and strength, A[a] very present help in trouble.

This is one passage of scripture, amongst others, that gives me unshakable confidence amid the prevailing chaos in our world today.  A refuge means ‘a place of protection, a shelter, where to turn to when there is difficulty.  Verse 2 says ‘Therefore we will not fear---"
WILL is something you do intentionally. You take a thought and intentionally say NO to fear.  This can only come out of a solid confidence and absolute trust in who God is, His awesome capability, his desire for His children to approach Him with absolute Faith.

• He is a very present help in trouble- He is always right on time.

• He is very accessible to anyone who will come to Him.

• The nations may range, God is still speaking- Vs 6

• For the believer, He destroys the ammunition of the enemy- Verse 9

• God calls us to know Him intimately. This will cause us to be still, unshaken even in times of difficult situations.

• God wants to exalt Himself in our lives.

Our God has a great and awesome plan for us, His children, but we must believe him before we can enter that place of protection, that He has made available for us.

Do you trust God enough to be calm even when stuff which you cannot explain are happening around you? Verse 5 says God is the midst of her. 

So, what happens when you are in the midst of a challenging situation, you remember that God says, He will help you and right early. He says your confidence in Him will yield the desired result or even a better result than expected.  You go to His word, find out what He says to do about that situation and do it. 

You cannot willfully live in sin or disobedience and expect Him to be in your midst. But   1 John 2:1 says.  

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Do not excuse, explain, or justify sin. Confess it, forsake it, and get right with God. Righteousness gives BOLDNESS. Refuse to live in anxiety. BE STLL AND KNOW THAT GOD IS IN ABSOLUTE CONTROL.

                                                                HAVING A SOLID FOUNDATION

In the natural we all know how important it is when one is building a house.  A faulty foundation in any building is a recipe for disaster.  Also, in the Spirit realm. It is so important that we check that our Foundation is not based on Tradition, popular opinion, popular acceptability, or even on your feelings. These will fail when the storms of life come. 

Our Lord Jesus told us in Luke 6:47-47 (also in Matt 7:24-29)- 

7 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was [j]founded on the rock. 49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it [k]fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”

We will go through some of the pillars of our  foundation with special reference to our Health covenant. This is by no means exhaustive, but it is a start:

• He has called us out of darkness ( where sickness and pain dwells) into His marvelous light- 1 Peter 2:9-10- TPT

• Our sin, sickness and Pain have been totally paid for. We are to just receive it by Faith- 1Peter 2:24

• Healing is NOT earned. It is the Children’s bread- Matt 15:22-29. So if you are a born again child of God, It is ALREADY provided for you.

• Healing is a function of the GOODNESS of God, Not your  goodness or your perfection Acts 10:38

• Joy is medicine to the body and Soul- Prov 17:21, Neh 8:10. Protect your joy.

As simple as these are, they are a very important pillars in our foundation. If you notice an attack on your health, know first that God did not put it there.  John 10:10

Then remind yourself that as a child of God, you are entitled to Health and wholeness because God is good to you and He loves you.  Do not go playing around with sin and living in disobedience, it will open the door to the one who comes only to steal- Satan.

Stand in Faith in God’s word and reject sickness. Having done all to STAND.- Eph 6: 13-16

                                                 THE PROFITABILITY OF GODLINESS

We live in a world that is increasingly becoming more ungodly in thoughts and action. Look around you and you will see people acting in ways that is anti-God.

However, even in the midst of all this ungodliness, God is calling out a people, who have accepted the Lordship of Jesus to live like Him. To imitate Him, in ALL circumstances. Eph 5:1

The Book of Timothy was written by Apostle Paul to Pastor Timothy for the church he (Timothy) was Pastoring. He- Paul- was telling Christians how they should represent God in an ungodly world.  A few of what he told them in 1 Tim 6: 1-21 are as follows:

• Let your work, business be conducted in ways that pleases God. Respect authority. Let our conduct in the workplace exemplify Christ.

• If you work for a believer, respect, and serve him well. Do not take him for granted!

• Do not allow greed to be your motivation, instead—

• Be godly in your dealings and you will have the gains that comes with being content in God.

• If we have food and clothing, we should be content- Vs 8

•  For the love of money [that is, the greedy desire for it and the willingness to gain it unethically] is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves [through and through] with many sorrows. -Vs 10-AMP

• We are commanded to flee from these things. Let our desire be to pursue righteousness, hold firmly to the life of God, the ways of God for ever, until Jesus comes. 

• We are not to trade eternity for a plate of porridge- Vs 12

Contentment is something that is becoming increasingly scarce among so called Christians today. We seem to be so fixated in acquiring more and more, that we have lesser and lesser time to pursue righteousness and kingdom activities. It is more of what we can get from God. Not more of walking in his love, representing him and attracting others to Him as they see His power flow through us, because of our deep-rooted relationship with Him. God wants to flow through us, but we must be a vessel cut out for Him.

As we put Him first in genuine service, in worship, in allowing His love to flow through us to others, all other things will be added to us. That bill payment, that spouse or relationship situation, that job situation, that Government situation etc. These are pieces of Cake before the one who owns the Heaven and the Earth. BUT WE MUST SEEK HIM FIRST AND BE CONTENT WITH HIM. For Godliness with contentment will bring GREAT GAIN. - Matt 6:33, 1 Tim 6:6

I curse every feeling of discontentment and decree that in Jesus Name your love for righteousness is increased in Jesus great Name. Amen

Calvary’s Greetings

                                                  HAVING THE RIGHT KIND OF HEART

 As we round up the Month of July and enter the Month of August, I want to put into your hand a most important key.

In Mark 4; 1-20 we read about the Parable of the Sower. Our Lord Jesus said in verse 13 that this is the foundation of every other parable.  That means that this is the foundation of how we can understand how the Kingdom of God works. It starts as a seed.  A seed looks like it has nothing to offer at first glance. But when put in the right environment it begins to yield fruits. For example, a Corn seed placed in the right environment will start with the blade, ear, then the full corn (Mark 4:28).  However, if left on its own, it will not yield anything.  It’s the very same with God’s word. 

Mark 4: 1-20 tells us of 4 types of hearts:

• The Wayside heart: This heart has been hardened, maybe, because of the news around, past experiences, etc. It does not receive the Word as Truth. Satan likes this situation. He comes to steal the word immediately.

• The Stony heart: It has very little depth. It believes at first, is even excited when the Gospel is first heard. But he/she does not take the responsibility of developing root for themselves. This person is riding on other people’s anointing. You do not take time to find out what God is saying for yourself. So, when persecutions come (and they will), when people make fun of your belief you give up quickly.

• The Thorny or Choky Heart: This heart hears God’s word but has also allowed the cares of this world to take his/her attention. The desire to be like the’ Jones’s’ is more than the desire to please God.  Example is Demas in 2 Tim 4:10

• The  Good Ground (Heart)-  20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, [e]accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”
